You Either Love Or Hate Design It Seems. I'm A Lover. — Test drove and wanted to purchase in about 15 mins. SOLID but COMFORTABLE drive. I'm not a "truck person" but this "truck" (SUV with a basket) is fantastic with Honda quality. Truck owners hate for some reason, I'm thinking they feel foolish for driving so harshly, when they RARELY have need for max towing capacity. I won't tow, but I will throw a lawnmower in back or plants. Fits my needs.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Solid Build. Clear Vision. Smooth Pickup.

Cons: Gas milage..

Overall:

The Best Compact Pickup On The Market. — When I was looking for a new pickup truck, I was coming out of a Lexus sedan with a beater Ford F-150 as the weekend utility truck. My son was getting into Scouting and the old F-150 was becoming too unreliable for out of town trips. I looked at Toyota first. Great looking trucks, but the ride was too stiff and bouncy. The Ridgeline is totally different. It drives like a car with a very comfortable ride. The 5,000 lb towing capacity is great for pulling boat trailers. The trunk in the bed is a unique option providing lots of storage not available in other trucks. The space under the split flip up rear seats holds a lot of gear as well. The center console is huge -- even more space. My local Honda dealer and I negotiated a very generous price for my new truck. Other than routine maintenance, it has needed nothing at all. It has 46,000 miles on it, and I plan to keep it for many years to come.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This is the best vehicle I have ever owned. It is versatile, comfortable on long drives, plenty of storage and plenty of power. The all wheel drive works great in snow and sand. The ride is fantastic, nothing like the bouncy ride of traditional pickup trucks. The best thing, it fits in my garage.

Cons: The fit and finish of the interior is sort of cheap looking. The pickup bed material scratches easily and will look shabby shortly after you start using it. Minor issues overall.

Ridgeline was very solid in ride, feel, power and comfort plus has a well laid out interior and look. There are a lot of storage and hauling features built in.

Power Ranked 2010 Toyota Tacoma worse.
"The Ridgeline ride was far superior to Tacoma - smoother, less noise and never felt underpowered for a small truck. "
Front Seats Ranked 2010 Toyota Tacoma worse.
"The Ridgeline seats and overall interior were much more comfortable and fully featured than the Tacoma. The Tacoma felt smaller. "

Flexible truck. Very convenient with four doors. Ultimately was difficult to fit the car seats for infants and toddlers and the arrangement that we desired for use.

Handling Ranked 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5i better.
"Lower center of gravity. Joy of driving a manual."
Back Seats Ranked 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5i better.
"Back seats in both were stiff but the Outback offered more on overall comfort. If backseat comfort is important, neither vehicle scores high in my opinion."
