Great, unassuming convertible. Love that this car is a cute little sedan in the Winter with good gas mileage and a stylish convertible in the Spring and Summer. Only negative so far is that it requires premium gas.

The only draw backs I had with mine was leaking at the joints a live the windows and the ignition key needing to be replaced. More than once!

Delivering what a person should have to look good and classical with is the Volkswagen Eos. With all its modern up to date features and spin style. And it gets you to where you dont need to be and to where you want to go. So I say buy it for the road and yourself.

I really like the looks and how these cars are equipped and how can you beat the name of Volkswagen in the automobile industry.

Turbo 2008 Volkswagen Eos — Performance - 2.0L I4 single Turbo, Handels Well, Brakes very well. Build Quality - Plastic, and sheet metal, the interior is decent could be better though. Looks like a Jetta? Not very noticeable when the hard top convertible is up. Appearance - Interior Style is good, wish it could be better quality material, Outside looks like a jetta when hardtop is up. When hardtop down the car looks amazing. Cost of Ownership - bought brand new 30k-40k, good on gas. Fun Factor - Great car to cruise in and has a transforming convertible top that gets peoples attention.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very fun luxary sports car.

Cons: The Eos has been back to the dealer ship many times, it only has 20k miles on it. Looks like a Jetta.

Tons Of Fun — I have loved this car's performance; it's great on gas, good-looking, and sporty. It also has relatively low mileage at 59,950. When the top is down on a cool day, it's absolutely invigorating. It's ideal for one or two people.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The vehicle handle extremely well; corners and curves--no matter how sharp--are no problem. It is very reliable; I've never had any engine or mechanical issues. When the weather is nice, there is nothing like a convertible. What a feeling!

Cons: Space is limited, but my tall children have all fit. However, long distances as a family would get uncomfortable.

Love Driving The Car But Not Worth The Money And Would Never Buy Another Vw — This car has way to many problems and VW service is not what it used to be. They can't seem to fix anything right the first time and to many things have gone wrong for a brand new car. I have owned it since brand new and have had to many problems to list including at least 5 leaks, roof problems, electrical, transmission, trunk, stereo(upgraded),breaks, leather, seat backs, etc

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: very fun car that gives you the best of several worlds.  It's in between a sports and luxury car.  I like that I can use it as a safe family vehicle but yet turn it into a fun car when the kids aren't in it.

Cons: reliability is horrible, to many problems for the price.  the warranty either doesnt cover items or they say its fixed but you have to take it back in for the same thing.  service is horrible at the 2 dealerships I have been to.  They pretended to fix things until the warranty expired.

Love Hate Relationship — This car is a blast to drive. I was hoping to hang onto this car for a long time but I'm afraid that won't be the case. This car goes through over a liter of synthetic oil ever 1000 kilometers or less. The car has been at a Volkswagen dealer for over two weeks waiting for new rings to come in from Germany. The dealer "Hopes"that will correct the problem. Not exactly a vote of confidence after you shell out $30,000. I would not recommend you buy a Volkswagen Eos unless you have shares in an oil company and have access to a replacement vehicle.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun car to drive

Cons: spends more time in the shop than it does on the road

Driver's Car!!! — Acceleration, braking and handling. Has had one small sunroof leak that has been repaired. Exterior is great looking with the hard-top down. Interior beige leather LOVE it!!! For a turbo it really does well on the road...I can get up to 32 mpg with the top down. FUN FUN FUN to drive!!!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Not going to see yourself going and coming

Cons: Not having enough time to ride around with the top down
