Although it's the same length (218 inches) as the LS Extended Cab, the 2008 Mitsubishi Raider LS Double Cab trims inches from the bed and adds them to the back seats. The bed in the Double Cab is only 5.3 feet long, while rear legroom increases to 36.4 inches. Seats are accessed through conventional rear doors and also split-fold 60/40. A sliding rear window is standard as well. The 2008 Raider LS Double Cab is powered by a 210-hp, 3.7-liter SOHC V6 that offers 235 ft-lbs of torque at 3,600 RPM. Available only with a 4-speed automatic transmssion, it can tow up to 4,100 pounds.
Other upgrades you get with the Double Cab include power windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, remote entry, tilt steering wheel, foglights, and alloy trim on the dash. These join the tachometer, a CD/MP3 player with MP3 jack, intermittent front wipers, power steering, a front 12-volt power outlet, and four cupholders as standard equipment. Dual front airbags, rear-wheel ABS brakes, front disc and rear drum brakes, halogen headlamps, and a tire monitor for the 16-inch alloy wheels make up the safety package. Side curtain airbags are not available. The body is reinforced with tubular side impact beams, a heavy duty front double wishbone and rear live axle suspension, and stiffer front and rear stabilizer bars. A bedliner and bed extender can be added to the cargo area (which features tie-downs). Other options include side step rails, mud guards, scuff plates, and a bright exhaust finisher.
