Power Windows not working
My power windows do not work anymore but everything else does door locks, radio etc. I was told I would need to replace the whole fuse box. Is there anyway to fix this without having to spend $500+?

This car is a great improvement in gas mileage from my last car. The increase in MPG alone is about as much as a car payment. Rides and handles well. Good value for a used vehicle. I imagine this would have been a great ride new.Jan 19, 2015

The Civic Hybrid is an excellent road trip car and comfortable and quiet on the highway. The low center of gravity gives it surprisingly good handling for a car that get's great gas mileage. The car is designed to be a little commuter car so as such it's fine for up to 4 passengers but don't expect much room in the trunk Jan 03, 2012

Performance:
First and foremost, this is not a high-performance vehicle, nor does it
pretend to be. The car has no difficulty accelerating to speeds up to 35
MPH, but anything beyond that is met with a wait requiring a calendar to
accurately measure. Freeway merges are downright terrifying, and the
thought of passing another car will never cross your mind when you're
behind the wheel. That being said, the Hybrid really shines in urban
driving conditions, its intended purpose. Engine noise is barely detectable
in city driving, where the continuously-variable transmission keeps the
revs low, and the added torque from Honda's Integrated Motor Assist
system gets the car up to speed in a very refined manner.
Build Quality:
It's a Honda. Fit and finish is near-perfect, panel gaps, interior rattles, and
other issues that have consistently plagued American competitors, are, as
usual, absent here.
Appearance:
The exterior of the Civic is actually quite pleasant. It isn't offensive, nor is
it radical in any way, but it never looks wrong. The interior is a whole
different story. With it's modern-looking two-tier dash design, digital
speedometer, and prominent tachometer, the interior is a genuinely nice
place to be. Seats are comfortable, if a little firm, and the back seat has
plenty of room for two full-sized adults - three, in a pinch.
Cost of Ownership:
Though generous use of the accelerator is necessary for anything other
than urban driving, the Civic never fails to achieve over 40 MPG, making
it's 12-gallon fuel tank consistently last for more than 500 miles between
fill-ups. Fischer Honda offers free oil changes to its customer base,
meaning that routine visits to the dealership don't normally cost more
than $10 (rotation, inspection.)
Fun Factor:
This is a light, nimble car, so it's relatively fun and engaging to drive.
Cornering isn't as crisp or stable as in it's non-hybrid counterpart, a
noticeable side effect of its increased weight and low rolling resistance

I have to say that the power is a bit low, but its still fun in the turns.On the highway, this car is like any other civic, but in the city, its better on fuel. Plus you get a few extras with the Hybrid. The only draw back to this car is the really ugly mags and the smaller trunk. Nov 21, 2011

Very good gas mileage where ever you drive. A beautiful dashboard and LED display. The braking and handling is also really good. Build quality is great it has 22,500 miles on it now and has never gone for a repair. Nothing too special about the exterior, looks like any other civic sedan but there are minor differences like the rims and such. Other than that the only disappointing thing is the power with a 93 hp 1.3L 4cyl i-VTEC and a 20hp electric motor there's not much pull on the car so essentially the launch and acceleration is not fast at all.Oct 23, 2010

being a hybrid,takes along time to warm up in winter,also find sluggish..no where near the gas mileage as promised, alittle boring..not worth the extra money for the non existant fab.mileage. Next hybrid,will be a toyota Prius..Honda..go back to the drawing board.ps.tires wear out at 18-25k, Honda knows this and does nothing about itAug 08, 2009

Smooth and quiet, but ever so boring. Hasn't had any specific
repairs in over 100.000 km's, but hasn't got the gas mileage
that honda promises... Appearance is very dull, but you don't
see that when you're driving ;-) That's it: I haven't got

My daughter is considering purchasing a 2008 Honda civic hybrid with 178,000 miles on it for $2500.00. I would have her get the vehicle for sure IF I can find out when the battery was replaced. Because the new batteries can cost $2000+, we need to find this out so we can decide what to do. We're not going to buy the car if we're going to have to turn around and pay $2000.00+ to buy a new battery. Is there any way, any website that with the vin#, can one find out if the battery has been replaced and when? I no about car fax but wasn't sure if it would show if there was a battery replacement and with having to pay for it without being certain if car fax shows that info, i dontvwant to do that. Is there any other way to find this out? I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you so much:)

Honda civic
orrowed a friends old Honda Civic today. When I got home I turned off the car, had keys in my hand was heading toward the door of the house. Alll of a sudden I heard the car start and it was headed in my direction I jumped out of the way and the car stopped just short from going over a bank. Any answers for this.
