Amazing comfort, lots of power and fun to drive. The bose sound system is mind blowing. The quiet hum of the electric motor was a nice break from all the noisy gas motors I was used to. The only issue I have so far is the wireless charger makes my phone run hot and it is not a fast charge.

How much does the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $28,640 |
| Year-Round Low | $28,135 |
| Year-Round High | $29,629 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $29,630 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −3.34% |
Prices have softened 3.34% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,050 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.
The Civic Hybrid’s appeal comes from its new hybrid model, which adds more power and significantly improved fuel economy to an already strong Civic lineup. It also keeps the choice of sedan or hatchback body styles, and the slight styling refresh plus new features help it feel current without changing the basic formula.
The main trade-off is that all-wheel drive is not available, so if you need extra traction, you’ll need to look elsewhere. Even so, the combination of efficiency, affordability, and comfort makes it a strong fit for everyday commuting and general use.
Only 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than deeply discounted.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Civic Hybrid is described as a comfortable, efficient compact car with a refined driving feel, and the hybrid system is presented as smooth and seamless in everyday use. The powertrain’s instant electric response and quiet operation also point to a setup that should feel easy to live with over time.
Honda’s hybrid system is expected to deliver strong fuel economy, and the cost-effectiveness analysis suggests the hybrid premium can pay back over a longer ownership period. If you plan to keep the car for several years, that improves the ownership case.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is whether the hybrid premium still makes sense for your mileage and how well the car has been maintained.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the history report carefully, even when the accident-free share is healthy, because condition can vary from one listing to the next. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Focus on overall wear, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim level you expect.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The cabin is mostly unchanged, but higher trims add a digital instrument panel and a more upscale feel. The base trim is more basic, while the upper trims bring more technology and convenience.
- Powertrain: The new hybrid uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque, and it is expected to return 36% more miles to the gallon.
- Safety package: Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
- Infotainment: The base LX includes a seven-inch touchscreen, HondaLink app support, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The top Touring trim adds a nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, wireless phone integration, and a wireless charging pad.
- Fuel efficiency: The hybrid models are estimated to achieve 49 mpg in combined driving.
Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.
Here's the short version:
- Sport Hybrid: This is the better value if you want the hybrid powertrain at the lowest entry price. It adds a sunroof, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control on top of the supporting Sport equipment, making it the trim that best balances price and everyday comfort.
- Sport Touring Hybrid: Choose this if you want the most upscale Civic Hybrid experience. It adds the richest mix of luxury and technology upgrades, including Google built-in and the most advanced cabin equipment in the lineup.
The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.
- Deal availability: 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,050 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.34% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 87.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $28,135, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $28,640 sits slightly below last year's $29,630.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, the current softness means resale gains may be more limited in the near term unless demand tightens again.
Even so, the Civic Hybrid’s combination of efficiency, comfort, and broad appeal should help it remain attractive to used shoppers. A well-kept example with strong equipment and clean history should be easier to move than a less desirable compact car.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid safe?
The 2025 Honda Civic sedan was awarded five-out-of-five stars in overall, side, and rollover protection, and four stars for frontal collisions from NHTSA. The mechanically similar 2024 Civic earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's highest score of "Good" in all evaluations except for the updated frontal moderate overlap and side tests, where it scored "Acceptable," and it was named a Top Safety Pick.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
The main caveat is that the 2025 Civic’s score could improve as additional frame strengthening has been added to address the newer IIHS tests.
Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.34% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The debut of the new Hybrid model brings more power and significantly improved fuel economy to the Civic lineup.
The bottom line: If you want the newest Civic Hybrid setup with stronger efficiency and a fresh feature set, the 2025 is the right place to start. If you’re mainly focused on stretching your budget, a different year may offer a lower entry price, but you’ll want to compare equipment carefully to make sure you’re not giving up the hybrid-specific gains that make this model year stand out.
