Honda Civic built as reliable commuter vehicle with great fuel economy. This car has quick handling and a sporty feel. The overall appearance of the car is clean and modern even for a 2008 model. The added navigation makes finding your way a breeze.

The Civic Hybrid is an excellent road trip car and comfortable and quiet on the highway. The low center of gravity gives it surprisingly good handling for a car that get's great gas mileage. The car is designed to be a little commuter car so as such it's fine for up to 4 passengers but don't expect much room in the trunk

Performance: First and foremost, this is not a high-performance vehicle, nor does it pretend to be. The car has no difficulty accelerating to speeds up to 35 MPH, but anything beyond that is met with a wait requiring a calendar to accurately measure. Freeway merges are downright terrifying, and the thought of passing another car will never cross your mind when you're behind the wheel. That being said, the Hybrid really shines in urban driving conditions, its intended purpose. Engine noise is barely detectable in city driving, where the continuously-variable transmission keeps the revs low, and the added torque from Honda's Integrated Motor Assist system gets the car up to speed in a very refined manner. Build Quality: It's a Honda. Fit and finish is near-perfect, panel gaps, interior rattles, and other issues that have consistently plagued American competitors, are, as usual, absent here. Appearance: The exterior of the Civic is actually quite pleasant. It isn't offensive, nor is it radical in any way, but it never looks wrong. The interior is a whole different story. With it's modern-looking two-tier dash design, digital speedometer, and prominent tachometer, the interior is a genuinely nice place to be. Seats are comfortable, if a little firm, and the back seat has plenty of room for two full-sized adults - three, in a pinch. Cost of Ownership: Though generous use of the accelerator is necessary for anything other than urban driving, the Civic never fails to achieve over 40 MPG, making it's 12-gallon fuel tank consistently last for more than 500 miles between fill-ups. Fischer Honda offers free oil changes to its customer base, meaning that routine visits to the dealership don't normally cost more than $10 (rotation, inspection.) Fun Factor: This is a light, nimble car, so it's relatively fun and engaging to drive. Cornering isn't as crisp or stable as in it's non-hybrid counterpart, a noticeable side effect of its increased weight and low rolling resistance tires.

Fantastic hybrid, much better than a Prius. Honda have avoided Toyota's mistake of building a Hybrid and then designing it to 'look' space age.

This car is a great improvement in gas mileage from my last car. The increase in MPG alone is about as much as a car payment. Rides and handles well. Good value for a used vehicle. I imagine this would have been a great ride new.
