Overall:

excellent little cars. great success in Europe. extremely reliable, low ownership cost, easy to park. the hatchback is a better and more practical option. had a Yaris for 4 years, never had any problems. the real gas/milage is higher than the official one. strongly recommended for people who care about their money and buy only what they need, not what they want.

Good Mileage — okay mileage with but in windy situation in highway it shakes a lot. standard interior for sedan, not so comfortable seating and driver seat without extra cushion (I use a couch pillow to seat on) is very uncomfortable Because of its angle/position due to bucket like seat. besides the odometer is at the middle which very odd

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: mileage is okay over the time it consumes higher gas

Cons: starting acceleration is very slow and with little gusty wind it will shake as the car very light

Owned a Tercel in the past. Chose this as the next option available most like the Tercel. Not currently in the market for a new car. Will stick with the one that is paid off. This would be a good replacement if my Aveo was no longer functional.

Back Seats Ranked 2007 Chevrolet Aveo better.
"I thought they are about the same, but was forced to choose one or the other. I am less concerned about back seats. For me back seats are mostly for putting stuff that do not fit in the front or extra carry ons that do not go in the trunk. (like laptops, fragile items, etc.)."
Family Car Ranked 2007 Chevrolet Aveo better.
"At most I have had to carry 4 people, but otherwise normally drive it with me alone or occasionally with one passenger. On one or more out of state trips, the car fits enough luggage for two people. Small means you can easily find parking and drop people off. I have less experience with the Yaris, so my comments are limited."

Easy On Gas - Reliable — Good daily commute Car, Great on Gas. Very reliable vehicle, it was only in for General Maintenance, never in for any Breakdowns. Good warm weather car, fun to drive, didn't do well in Snow / Michigan Winters. Did Great in Arizona.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great Fuel Economy, very reliable Car.

Cons: Room for 2 people and a Dog, that's about it.

Small, Quick, And Comfortable Car — Car is great for long trips, has a lot of space to put things in it. For a toyota it's a stylish car. Has been the most reliable car I've ever owned. Also very easy to park in the city.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great gas mileage, handling, low maintenance, and lots of cargo  space.

Cons: Not an off road car and very light weight.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Cons: no power
