electrical issues '07 cts caddy
2007 cts caddy and dash gauges (fuel,temp) are not working, also, the anti theft and traction control are on. what can i do to get gauges to work and the theft and traction to go away

Write a reviewCadillac decided to take a breather on the midsize CTS the year before a major redesign for 2008. The CTS adds OnStar's Connections and Directions to the optional navigation system. This program helps you find everything from directions to diagnostics. The 2007 CTS still comes in 3 trims: the 2.8 L V6, the 3.6 L V6, and the Sport. The 2.8 L V6 gives you 210 hp while the 3.6 L V6 and the Sport give you 255 hp. All trims have standard 6 speed manual transmission with optional 5 speed shiftable automatic. Gas mileage ranges from 17 mpg in the city to 26 on the highway. The CTS has 4 doors and seats 5. In addition, you get 12.5 cubic feet of cargo space. The 2007 Cadillac CTS satisfies most drivers with its smooth handling and power. Some would like to see a more attractive interior and better fuel economy. In any event, expect Cadillac to unveil a larger 2008 CTS with an improved engine before July 2007. Until then, the CTS provides a stylish ride with performance to match.

My 2007 cts is 17 years old and I owned it for 13 years. It needed some minor repairs but nothing serious. No drivetrain issues. A couple sensors and a thermostat during all this time. Any car requires normal maintenance

This car looks great and is fun to drive. Built very well with a solid but not overly stiff suspension. More sporty than your typical Cadillac so a little less refined. You can still get all the bells and whistles though. Tons of leg room in the front and plenty in the back as well except for the middle seat.Jan 21, 2014

Daily driver. Stock CTS Sport package. Found on line with only 27,500 miles. No problems, so far. Replaced battery, but I would consider that normal on an almost 5 year old car. Fun to drive. Handles more like a sports car. In Sport mode, the transmission lags a little between 1st and 2nd, but other upshifts are quick and precise. It can haul the kids around, looks good and is fun to drive.Oct 19, 2011

Great car overall no major scratches chips or wear items. Just a above average driver. Sunset Blue was a new color for 2007 and is fairly rare. Lots of silver's white diamonds and black but not too many of these. This blue gives you some color that stands out but at the sametime gives you a always clean look. Black does the samething well except it never stays clean. Comfort and convience heateds seats etc.. 3.6 liter high output engine. Nov 30, 2010

Sport model so it has a stiffer suspension and handles very well. Front seats are not quite up to the task. V6 gives substantial power and gas mileage is adequate: mixed town and suburban highway driving for 29,500 miles with overall of 18.7 mpg...but I drive quickly.
Had rear differential seal problems twice but covered by factory warranty. meltdown of audio system resulted in complete replacement of the unit under warranty.
Pearl white paint always gets compliments, but never been wild about the tan/beige leather interior...boring.May 28, 2010

This is my wife's car. She keeps it immaculate and it drives like a dream. It is as spartan as possible and handles like a sports car. After 3 years we hate to trade it in. the last gen CTS was fairly good looking with the right package/wheels, i liked how different it was, the interior however wasn't up to class standards but i'd still own that gen CTS again. espeacially since you can get killer deals on 3.6 sports now, there good looking and handle extremly well for a luxo cruiserAug 08, 2009

it was my mom's silver cts. it was our first luxury car after a ford tarus. had a spoiler, coustom wheels & grille and we got it from her boyfriend. i thought it looked too ultra modern and the colors bland(silver on black!) the only repairs needed were for dings and scratches. it was fun, but the engine size and car looks, it coulda been louder.Aug 18, 2008

Get the 3.6L engine as the 2.8L is adequate but hardly breathtaking in acceleration. But the ride, handling, and overall comfort are exceptional in all 3 categories. Very few sedans manage to offer an optimal blend of those 3 characteristics. The engine is a bit noisy for my tastes, but the 3.6L should be quieter.
