The brand new rear-wheel drive 2006 Lincoln Mark LT Base blends luxury features with pickup utility. Built on a double wishbone front and solid live axle rear suspension, the four-passenger pickup measures out at 18.5-feet in length, with a choice of a 5.5- or 6.5-foot pickup bed. Tiedowns and tow hooks are standard, and a bedliner, bed extender, and chrome rail tracks can be added. Trimmed on the outside by a large chrome grille and chrome banding, the 2006 Mark LT Base features 18-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires. Power comes from a 24-valve, 5.4-liter V8 and 4-speed automatic, which deliver 300-hp and 365 ft-lbs of torque at 3750 RPM. Fuel economy averages 14/18, and the optional trailer hitch allows up to 8900 pounds of towing capacity.

Front captain's chairs get 41 inches of legroom, while the split-folding rear bench passengers get a roomy 39 inches. The rear seat also features a folding armrest. All seats are covered in leather, with leather, alloy, and wood accents throughout the cab. Power windows, locks, and mirrors, remote entry, a trip computer, and heated power front seats with driver's memory are all standard. On the wheel reside controls for cruise, audio, and climate. A tachometer, temperature readout, and compass provide driver information. A CD changer features MP3 playback, and second row audio controls are available.
