Low beam headlights aren't working
In March my passenger headlight low beam stopped working. I took it to an auto parts store who replaced the bulb and connection as they said that was melted. The headlight worked fine until in May when it stopped working. Took it back to the auto parts store and they said the connection wasn't fully in. So they fixed it and it worked fine. Took it later on to a dealership who said a bunch of front end work need to be done and the connection to the headlight was melted again. They wanted $$$$$ so took it to a father/son shop instead and they fixed the front end and then did both front headlamps. Well I was supposed to go somewhere tonight but noticed the low beams wouldn't turn on even tried doing it manually. High beams work and the other lights work. So I took it back to the auto parts store and the guy there took off both headlights and looked at them. He said the bulbs look great,no issue with the connection or wires. He even checked the fuses under the hood and none of them were blown. He couldn't figure out why the low beams wouldn't work. They won't turn on automatically or manually. I read the HDM relay could be the problem and to switch it with the fan relay but I also saw that I need to disconnect the battery before I do it but I am no mechanic. I am curious why it would stop working now and why the high beams work still but the low beams don't Can any of you maybe help me find the issue. It's 2006 chevy trailblazer. I will be taking it back to the mechanic who fixed it. They do have a warranty on parts/labor for a year or 12k miles but just wondering if any of you know what could be going on
