Pleasantly Surprised — Coming from big Lexus and Mercedes tere was an adjustment to a smaller car with less power. One the other hand we don't miss the gas bills or maintenance, particularly on the Mercedes. Except for routine maintenance this car hasn't had to spend any time in the shop.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This car surprised us.  It was our first Hyundai and it has been exceptional.  We have since bought another one.  We were used to Lexus & Mercedes & this car wowed us.

Cons: It is a smaller car than we have been used to.  It has a lot of cargo space for its size.  We are used to a lot more power in our past cars but the gas mileage makes up for it.

Zippy! — I have been pleasantly surprised at the handling and performance of my mom-mobile. Weather we are loaded up for a long trip or zipping around town we get there quickly. I have driven lots of vehicles: sports/performance cars, wagons & minivans, a dual-axle pick-up, & econo cars. They all have their pros & cons but this is a happy medium!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: She's a great little car. We expect a lot out of her & she delivers. Good comfort for myself and 3 kids. Great fuel economy.

Cons: Back seat not good for 2 car seats +1 child. Definitely not for tall/big people or anyone with knee conditions- getting in and out could be difficult.

Worth Every Penny. — Nice vehicle, good warrenty, would not hold up to a major crash. Excellent engine/transmission for a manual. Excellent gas mileage, cheap payments, actually paid this one off pretty fast. Fun to drive, heck yes. Handled very well. Len was a speed demon in this one.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Very economical

Cons: tin canish

Great Job — I like the simplicity of design and the easy driving. The performance beats most all in its class, and is easily maintained and customizable. This car is well worth the money, especially those on a budget. Well done Hyundai. Word.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Most everything

Cons: Heat does not blow warm at rest.

Get This Car!!! — like: good gas mileage and very reliable! Haven't had a more reliable car ever! dislike: not good at racing and it's a cheap mode of transportation. This car will never break down... so I expect to keep it for a very long time!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: practical and useful!

Cons: not flashy...

05 Elantra Gls 5-door — Build Quality is fine. Performance is lacking but it is a small car and a small engine. I love that it looks like a Saab 9-3. It is pretty good on gas, although I wish it was bigger now with two kids...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Cheap to buy

Cons: Maintenance intervals can be expensive

Fun — It doesn't look fast, but it's 2.0L DOHC engine with 140 horses geared high on the 5-speed manual, and a car weigh-in of 2700 pounds, it's got potential, very fun. Great stock sound system. Plenty of room for three more friends. Great cargo. Great lighting. Will have many years of fun with this car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: +++

Cons: - - -

Highly Recommended For The Avg. College Kid Not Looking For A Sports Car — This is a great little car for anyone who just wants to go places.. It has nice pick-up, smooth handling, and has pretty good gas mileage. AVG MPG is around 26 in the city and close to 34 on the highways. I own the manual, which is a lot of fun. The clutch is really smooth and the control is excellent. The only major downside is that there is a great loss of horsepower once the A/C is turned on.. makes the acceleration slow down a lot from a stand-still.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Quick pick-up w/out A/C on, smooth handeling, great gas milage

Cons: Loss of pick-up when A/C is on

Hyundai Sux — I hate the car initially have a good performance looks ugly which i can deal with but eventually i its useless and costs alot of money to own because maintainence problems arrive alot and it is no fun to drive. It is sloggy and noisy and a waste of my money which i am very depressed to have bought it
