2005 Accord Hybrid Review — Performance - This car is very quick for a sedan made by Honda, in stock configuration it produces 255 hp and 253 lbs of torque. Build quality - Excellent, this is the only model of the Accord built in Japan during these model years and the quality shows. Appearance- Standard accord appearance Cost of ownership- For those who dont do their on work, its gonna cost you. Fun factor- For a sedan its not bad

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: GOOD

Cons: CAR

Great On The Environment — Our 05 accord hybrid got 32 to 35 mpg. We got 4 cylinder mpg out of a v6 which is good in this awful economy. The payments were $400.000 a month. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. Too bad we had to get rid of it. I'd own it again.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: good mpg for a v6

Cons: brakes were too sensitive

Excellent Drive! Honda Quality Throughout! — I love the size, the performance, the handling, the looks, and the gas mileage of this car. I would buy this car new again, but Honda stopped making it in 2007. I like the mid-size hybrid option with a sporty look and feel. No problem passing with this car!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Performance in a fuel efficient vehicle.

Cons: Honda stopped making the Accord Hybrid in 2007.  Why?

Fast, Fun And Frugal — 32MPG, 265HP, 0-60 in 5.6s. Typically, these numbers don't belong in the same set, but they do with the Accord Hybrid. Power, economy and comfort for under $32K. What was Honda thinking when they didn't continue this car with the 2008 model Accord? My only complaint about this car is the brakes. They are horrible. The rotors warp too easily, the pad wear quickly, and the transition from regen to brake pads is abrupt and unnerving.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Incredible fuel economy in the quickest car ever sold with the Honda logo in the USA

Cons: Terrible, terrible brakes

Planning To Keep This Car As Long As Possible — Economical car with reasonable maintenance cost. Reliable. Because of the hybrid electric/gas technology, it has great fuel economy. It has the speed of a sports sedan with 255 hp in this very light car; excellent at passing. Suspension is appropriate for its class

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Looks and style good for a car from 2005.  Still reliable at 160k miles.  Handling.  V6 Power.  Leg room. Price.  Fuel economy.

Cons: Just normal wear and tear.  Rear seats don't fold down to extend cargo space because of the hybrid battery.   No spare tire; instead it has tire repair kit, pump, and lift. No sunroof available for hybrids.

Hybrid — Best performance / mileage you'll ever get. Probaby most under appreciated Honda. Who else can challenge most sports cars and get excellent mileage. 7-8.5 L/100km Not a true hybrid like Toyota but who wants to putt- putt around. Other than the crazy maintance schedule that Honda wants you to follow, cost has been roater which didn't repir my one constant issue. At 80-100 kph it sometimes "rumbles". Will get fixed now by a local shop that I trust.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Turns out rumble was in my head after 4 visits and seveal thousand dollars.  Told them that if it was in my head, take the car on trade.  Bought 2008 Accord coupe. FANTASTIC!

Cons: seats do fit by body.  Uncomfortable over long distancs.  Radio antnna not very strong.
