The Dodge Sprinter commercial van stayed pretty much the same for 2005. This high capacity vehicle comes in 5 trims and sports a 2.7 L, 154 hp I5 powertrain. All 5 trims have 3 doors and seat either 8 or 10 depending on the trim.
While the Sprinter does have a lot of cargo capacity, it only tows up to 5000 lbs. All trims have rear wheel drive. In addition, all 5 trims have 5 speed automatic transmission.
Overall, the 2005 Dodge Sprinter gets acclaim for its high cargo capacity, versatile body styles, and good fuel economy. On the other hand, the van can't tow a whole lot with only an I5. Despite some shortcomings, the '05 Dodge Sprinter should give commercial customers enough to warrant a second look.
have replaced the battery , the starter and the alternator, and yet the sprinter sometimes will not start . when you turn the key, engine fan kicks on but nothing ..it won't start. after jumping it, it will run fine for a day or two and then the same thing happens. any advice?
Last week i had problems it would turn over but not start. after several attempts it started but would only idle at 1000 rpm. check engine light came on..i shut it off and after several attempts it started...drove to auto zone and they did the ob2 check..codes said map/maf and glow plugin 3 cylinders...i started it up after several attempts and went to napa to see my friend to tell me what the codes meant...he said this says everything is wrong but doesnt make sense..so ibought a fuel filter and went out to start up my sprinter...it started right up and the check engine light was off....it ran fine even perfect....stopped at the grocery store and when i came out it wouldnt start again..after several attempts it started and i was on my way...no check engine light and ran fine...went home and changed the fuel filter bled the filter and tried to start it ..i killed the battery..so i went and bought and installed the battery...it wouldnt start...i entered the code for alarm and tried again but no luck...when you turn on the key i can hear the fuel pump working so i left the key on and loosened the top of fuel filter and there was fuel shooting out of it..closed the nut and tried to start it with no luck...at this point i have limited funds and i desperatly need this for work...i am mechancaly inclined but dont know diesel or electrical...any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated thank you ..ray
my 05 sprinter has no power. just changed 3 injector and injection pump and turbo hose. veryslow accelaration. from 60 to 70 crawls. cant go faster than 70. crawls up hills. please advise.
My turn siganals work some times and some times dont unless i move the handel or steering wheel or put presure on fuse box.
Avter oil and filter replacing 200ml to 400 mile darck ???
