The biggest change for the 2005 Chevy Express passenger van came from the addition of Stabilitrak stability control as a standard feature on 12 passenger trims. Otherwise, not too much changed for Chevrolet's roomy alternative to the Express Cargo. If you've got a sizable clan to carry around, the Express has room for 8, 12, or 15 passengers depending on which of the 10 trims you choose.
Gas mileage generally ranges from 13 mpg in the city to 19 on the highway. Powertrains come in 4.3 L, 195 hp V6, 5.3 L, 295 hp V8, and 6.0 L, 300 hp V8 flavors. Max towing capacity generally ranges from 6100 to 9700 lbs. depending on the trim.
Overall, the Express gets props for its capable engines and wide range of seating arrangements. On the other hand, the interior could use a little refinement. In any event, the Express does everything you could ask when it comes to carrying families and youth sports teams.

This has been a great van for our extra large family of 9+. We have enjoyed using it for family vacations, trips with friends, and loading up the van with church groups for special trips. The seats go in and out easily, which makes it great for taking a seat or two out of the back to carry luggage or equipment and a good group of people at the same time. Or taking all the seats out for more room than you can get out of a pick-up truck.
Only reason we are selling is because it is not practical for us any more being as most our kids are grown and we don't need that much room any longer.May 19, 2014

Temperature gauge is overheating reading at 210°
I've just replaced the thermostat (160°) today and gave it a good flush.. the water pump was changed last year and had a whole new radiator put in it last year as well. But the temperature is still reading at 210°... What could be the problem? Any ideas?

No fire but motor turns over
I have an 05 Chevy Express 2500 and I have no fire but the motor turns over. I can the fuel pump and I also have pressure. When I removed the plug from the ignition control driver I have no spark. It's been roughly 9 years since I first replaced this and it was cracked at that time. Is there another place I should test before replacing this again? What should the ohms be?
