Looking to refresh its lineup in a quest for younger buyers, Buick scrapped its popular Century and Regal mid-size sedans and introduced the 2005 Buick LaCrosse. With a wheelbase that's two inches longer, the LaCrosse features more interior legroom. Though it sits on the same Buick W platform used for years, Buick claims that 80% of its body parts are new and more heavy duty (thus more durable), and that the suspension has been retuned for better overall handling.
The 2005 LaCrosse comes in base CX, luxury CXL, and sporty CXS trims. The focus is on quality build, comfort, and subdued elegance, rather than blow-your-mind performance. To that end, the CX and CXL use the old 3.8-liter, 200-hp V6 that has been hanging around since 1979. The much sportier CXS features a 3.6-liter, DOHC V6 at 240-hp, plus a stiffer suspension and Magnasteer electronic steering. All trims come with a 4-speed automatic. Buick is touting its QuietTuning system in the LaCrosse, where they have added extra sound absorption, insulation, and thicker seals to reduce road noise for a quieter ride.
The mid-size sedan seats five, though if you add an optional front bench seat, you could fit six. Base CX comes well loaded with power features and cruise control, and as you move up the line, you get ABS brakes, traction, leather seats, and split-fold rear seats. Favorite options are remote start, heated seats, and a sunroof.
The redesigned 2005 LaCrosse seems to have won fans. Many owners say the handling is precise and cornering tight. The new 3.6 V6 engine is powerful, with good acceleration, yet smooth and quiet. There is plenty of front legroom to make long rides comfortable, and the overall look of the car is very high-end. Biggest complaints were the poor gas mileage and the lack of a handle on the trunk.

It does not tell me anything about the car like year, mileage, etc...
so if your going by looks and condition because its an older car then it looks great for an older car, but I need way more to go on than looks, I mean why would you even post the car without a dollar amount and description, that doesnt make scents.

All Buick middles sedan mid sides up, SUV, vans, wagon, truck
I do think, this car is A good value. Not A thing has everything I need.
It is A 10 + I had A1995 it severed me well for years.
My father had A lot of Buicks in his lifetime his 2005 went from N, C, to Texas three times in three years in A row.
Ps, he is 94 years old steal driving it today. It has all the features it needs it is A safe dependable car.

Overall the Lacrosse is an outstanding vehicle with the strong V-6 3800 engine that has existed as a staple for Buick. A nice bonus is the feature to fold down the back seats which allows the ability to carry long items with ease.Dec 28, 2014

Absolutely one of the best cars I have ever owned. Would highly recommend the car to anyone looking for power, luxury, comfort, and low maintenance costs. Definitely purchase the CXS model as I did because the power of the 3.6L engine (same as in the Caddy CTS) blows away the standard 3.8L engine found in all other models of the 05 Lacrosse.Apr 24, 2014

Has a ton of "sleeper" potential. The 3.8 is powerful and responsive but also easy on the gas. Very cheap to maintain and rod (if you can find the parts). It is very fun to drive and meant to be enjoyed.Feb 02, 2010

Granny car... hell no this is soon gonna be considered the GRANDMA KILLER... that is once i put 20's on it, lower it 2 inches, tint the windows, chrome it out, put dual exhaust on, and last of all a 75 hp power boost after my supercharger is installed. this car rides on air, has clasicly bold styling, and has enough power to take on anything... win or lose. 22-25 mpg and one hell of a fun ride.May 24, 2009

I had to drive this boat around after my Sentra got wrecked. Now, I'm not saying this is a bad car, but it's the opposite of my taste. This car completely isolates the driver from the outside world. You get in, you hear nothing. It feels more like a living room than a car interior. Turn the key and try to find the answer to the question, "Is it on?" Step on the gas and it floats eerily forward like some sort of alien hovercraft. You'd think, based on this, that it would be powered by an antimatter core fueled by dilithium crystals, but, actually, it's a V6. Does "V6" excite you? It won't in this car. You can't feel it. There's enough wood on the dash to make you remember how your grandpa smelled like cigarettes, and the blue-green readout reminds me of a microwave oven from 1979. Great car with the legendary 3.8 engine. Great performance for an automatic, but the transmission gets a little temporamental sometimes. Cheap to maintain, great on gas (26 mpg pretty much all the time), and great looks to boot! Excellent Investment!Apr 09, 2009

Leaking front windshield or OnStar antenna?
During heavy rainstorms water drips occasionally from the overhead interior light that is located on the roof liner directly underneath the exterior OnStar antenna. Is there a method for determining where the leak is coming from? The front windshield is not cracked or damaged. The antenna is not weather worn or damaged. Has there been any other reports of this kind of leak?

How to manually reduce lumbar support
