Great College Car — I bought this car in college. It has been a great and reliable vehicle. Has over 225k miles and I haven't had one major or really minor repair (just standard maintenance). I imagine the engine will reach 275k-300k miles, before a major repair is needed.

Pros: All Wheel Drive, Reliability (haven't had a major repair)

Cons: Fuel Economy

Generally Good, Repairs Affordable, Good, Safe Family Car — This is a good car generally - good size for a family of 4 and a dog. Has been quite reliable up to 100K miles, but after that repairs are trending upwards. If you live in a snowy area, have kids and need to get out in any condition this is a great choice.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Incredible in deep snow and handles well on slippery roads

Cons: Repairs increase over 100K

Another Great Car! — I bought this car sight unseen on the Internet back in 2004. It was really cool to have the confidence in this vehicle and doubly cool when it was delivered to my house on a trailer from the dealer who was 130 miles away! Hopefully I can pony up for a newer one soon!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This is my second Outback and have loved them both. Reliable, great in the snow, can carry a lot of cargo and thank goodness for seat heaters!

Cons: Catalytic convertor failure on both, CV joints and my mystery dashboard illumination failure have worn me out.....maybe it's time to upgrade???

Solid Car And Great Awd. — I love driving this in the snow or packing it for a trip. It's fun to drive and I like it. I would buy another. I do think it could use more power. The car has great ultility for every day use like loading it up with groceries or pilling a bunch of friends in it to go out.

Pros: Great AWD. Great room and trim.  Descent power and handling.  Reliable.

Cons: Could use more power but not a big issue.  Fuel ecomonmy is mediocre.

Well Maintained Subaru Outback — Very clean Blue/Gold Subaru wagon, well maintained, ready to drive away, brakes, a/c, heating system, tires, alignment, interior, belts, hoses all serviced and in great condition. Good gas miliege, safe to drive, accelarations and handling is good. Safe for long distance trips.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Subaru's are great dependable automobiles

Cons: nothing

After Owning It Since 2006... — Utility - Back seats lay flat so moving IKEA book shelves was a nice experience. Got a couch and a dining table on roof seperately with no problem. AWD - Have alot more confidence in rain and snow. MPG - Decent but could be better. Use regular gas which is a plus. Apperance - Pretty good for a wagon. If you are not sure, just check out Honda and Toyota wagon effort in those years. Cost of Ownership - Pretty cheap with insurance but this car could depreciate quite a bit, especially if you get the more expensive trim. Build Quality - Pretty good for it's class and price. Fun Factor - It's fun to take the car out and not worry about not being able to bring some stuff you just bought home. Just have to worry not to spend too much in Home Depot or Walmart. Took it to camping twice and it has room for gears for 4.

Pros: It really has a lot of room. Can haul alot of stuff!

Cons: I would like it to have better gas mileage for sure

My Outback — a good all round car, reliable but servicing is expensive. Just completed a 9,000 km trip from one side of Austrlia to the other and back, the car performed well on the trip but the seats are very hard on long trips

Pros: room for storage

Cons: seats are too hard

No Need For An Suv — If you need some trunk space this is a great car to get. It's better mileage and handling than an suv, great in snow and crummy weather because the AWD means you can stop on any thing.

Pros: Handling in bad conditions

Cons: you can't find it in the parking lot because there are so many of them

Easy On The Pocketbook — Coloradans LOVE Subarus - and I'm no exception. The Subaru Outback is perfect for the daily commute, getting the kids where they need to be, or picking up oversized items at the hardware store. All wheel drive makes it a breeze to drive in the winter, and it comes with nice standard features. If you are looking for something a little bigger that will let you pack up 4 adults, 2 dogs, and all your ski equipment, this is the car for you. Go for the 6 cylinder, we used to own the 4, and it was a little under powered for the CO mountains. Very few maintenance issues in all the years we've had it. Not the most 'fun' car to drive, but more than expected for a cross over.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Super reliable, easy to drive, great cargo space, good gas mileage, great in the winter, all around good car.

Cons: Don't have any complaints
