Great Truck — The Magnum V* runs great. It takes restraint not to stomp on it. I like that you can fit 5 into the truck comfortably. We found a vintage Aristocrat camper and the Dakota pulls it without any problem. It has been a great all around family vehicle.

Owner for 0 years, 6 months

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Miles Driven per Year:10,000

Pros: We have owned the Dakota for over 5 years and have had no problems with it. It handles great in the city and on the highway and the dog smell that came with the truck has disappeared.

Cons: As gas prices rise I would like to experience better gas mileage but for a truck I expect an 18mpg average is reasonable. Another issue is damp carpet on the passenger side. I've tried cleaning the AC drain but it is difficult to get to. Update: Wet carpet on passenger side was due to the short a/c drain tube allowing water to roll back and seep in through the fire wall. Sealing around the drain tube on the outside corrected the problem.

Nice Pick Up — gas mileage is not the best gets about 10 miles to the gallon has a 109,000 miles and tail pipe is a little to loud for me.Great looking pick up gets a lot of attention as you drive along the highways.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: looks good for a 2003

Cons: it will pass alot of things ,gas station is not one of them

Fun Little Truck — This is a gas eater with the 4.7L but has plenty of towing for such a small truck. Has that beefier look but in a smaller profile too. Box can be hard to haul full sized sheets of construction materials though. Still wouldn't trade it off. Love the little thing.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

    Pros: Towing

    Cons: Gas eater

Like This Vehicle. Have Owned This For Over 2 Years. — This truck started out as a plain jane 2003 dodge dakota rt. Mods that have been made to this truck include new headlamps, tail lamps, Dale Jr. Octane wheels, Orange stripes, flowmaster exhaust system, Infinity sound system with 2 twelve inch Infinity Kappa Perfect subs. Panasonic Head unit. This vehicle is not as fast since the new wheels were installed.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Last of its breed.  The RT's were produced from 98-03 handles quite well

Cons: fuel economy at 11 city and 16 highway not very good.

Lots Of Fun =) — Love this Truck, it's a lot of fun. So far the only thing I don't like is how you change the oil. It's a really dumb place to be and hard to change. Luv driving it. It was in pretty good condition for being as old as it is. It does suck gas and it has an exhaust system on it and a K & N filter on it so it gets better gas mileage. It sounds awesome when you rev it. Go MOPARS!

Pros: Bigger than a lot of other people

    Cons: Gas Guzzler

Sweet Little Truck — performance is great, throw you back in your seat torque, braking and headling where also excellent, no problems except for the exhasut hangers on aftermarket exhaust, apperance had the stock lip body kits, fuel milage was not great, fun factor excellent

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: 5.9L engine

    Cons: gas mileage

Awesome Truck, Very Rugged And Can Take Some Abuse — THis is a great truck and I love driviing it. It has a lot of get up and go, about 40 dollars a week to fill the tank. Its really fun to drive and I love having this instead of a big gas hog and having a bigger truck than a little truck.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It is really fun to drive and still has the cargo room of a bigger truck.

    Cons: 2WD

Bad Ass, Plain And Simple — Not the fastest truck on the block, but will run over most of the other ones. Rugged, loud, and pretty much just overall bad ass in every way. Gas mileage isn't great, but if I wanted good gas mileage, I would have bought a little Honda or something.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: Grey bumper...blah
