New for the 2003 MDX are 20 extra horses! That's right, folks, after two years of 240 horsepower, the 2003 MDEX has a new, more-efficient exhaust system that bumps its horsepower to 260. Torque increased from 245 lb-ft to 250.
The relatively peppy 2003 MDX goes from 0 to 60 in 8 seconds, and gets fair mileage at 17 city/23 highway (although drivers are quick to point out that a lead foot severely decreases the mileage on this vehicle). The interior is cushy and comfy, with soft leather and wood trim.
Drivers of this car praise the smooth handling and all-weather capabilities. Criticism of the 2003 MDX includes complaints about a lack of storage space behind the third row. While most find it to be a dependable car, some have had problems starting with the day they drove off the lot.

What owners say
"Overall, owners are very pleased with the 2003 Acura MDX, praising its solid performance, roomy interior, and luxurious features. They particularly love its handling, reliability, and how it performs in various weather conditions, especially snow. However, some drivers expressed concerns about the cost of maintenance and fuel economy, noting the need for premium gas and that it can be expensive to own."
Love this car. It comes with everything that the new cars have and then some. best purchase I have made. This car has 160,000+ miles on it. It still drives like brand new. Do the research on your own. You will not be disapointed.
October 16, 2012MDX's are really really really solid SUV's. They are Practical, roomy, luxorious, Good looking, capable towers, quiet, cheep to maintain, powerful and Very good in Snow. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a midsize SUV, used ones are especially good values.
October 24, 2009AWESOME in the snow or mud. I never have to lock in the AWD it pulls right out where other cars get hung up. It is roomy and has 3 row seating, lots of cargo room for grocery time or luggage. It is a great handling vehicle and fun to drive.

January 5, 2015Very dependable car , for god sake it's Japanese these cars last for ever!! I love this croos over! It has space like a SUV but yet it drives smooth like a car. Very beautiful outside and expensive looking. Love it
May 30, 2013Good, solid mid sized SUV, 7 seats with kids in a pinch, 4 wheel drive a must in New England. Pretty reliable, a few things need replacing in the 70k-100k mileage range. Not the most fun car, but a good family vehicle.
June 23, 2011Excellent acceleration, easy to keep clean, leather interior and very nice handling.
April 9, 2008Interior is nice, exterior ok, handles really nicely, it has over 200,000 miles and is in perfect condition
January 2, 2008Rocks in all categories! Has spoiled me for all other cars! Sorta disapointing I cant watch the DVD player from the drivers seat though! Expensive grade gas hurts too! But you gotta pay to play! Equally at home going to the mountains and driving coworkers. Somehow I always end up driving! Could it be the third row nintendo?
