Perfect First Car — I love my little Hyundai. It's inexpensive to repair, though a lot of minor parts wore out, gets awesome gas mileage, has little to no blind spots, really comfortable seats and has lots of storage(enough for me to keep all of my random stuff plus minimum of 6 yoga mats at all times) for a little sedan. I couldn't have asked for a better first car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good gas mileage, sunroof, no engine problems, very comfortable seats

Cons: Often replacing break lights!

A Middle Of The Road Choice. Practical Above All Else, But Nothing Unique About The Car. — I have been driving this car for less than a month. Bought it used with 116,000 miles. The car has a soft ride, which is fine for commuting to work. The gas mileage is quite poor for a 4 cylinder small car (I have an automatic). But it came recommended by Edmunds as a good used car choice, and so far there is little to regret.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good reliability ratings

Cons: Low miles per gallon, bland styling

Decent Car, But Not The Best — Poor acceleration, and not that great on gas for being a 4banger. over all appearance, the paint faded a lot in the sun. it is relatively low maintenance. I love it tho because it is a manual transmission! The trunk is a little smaller than what I would hope for but it works gets the job done.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Low Maintenance

Cons: Poor Acceleration

Nice Car. — Great Car. Drives Very Well. Needed A Transmisson When I Bought It. I Work As A Used Parts Salesman, So I Put One In It For Free. Very Fun To Drive. Seats Are Hard, But I Dont Care. Definetly Reccomend To Anyone.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Good Engine.

Cons: Hard Seats.

I Love It!!!! — Body is weak...I mean if Stevie can fall into it hip first and put a major dent in the side, then it is definitely weak. It is a blast to drive....great in the snow. She works great so long as you are not mean to her.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Good performance and gas mileage

Cons: Body is weak

2002 Hyundai Elantra — Drove the car for a few weeks but only owned it for 5 days. Was involved in a 5 car pileup (rearended and slammed into three cars) and wrote the car off. Loved the car, handled great, bought one like it after the insurance money came in as well!! Paid roughly $5000 for it from the dealership Trevor's Hyundai in Miramichi.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handled great, large gas tank & good on gas.

Cons: Wrote it off 5 days after buying it (not my fault)

An Awesome Amazing Powerful Little Car — I love my Hyundai Elantra GT so much, it has great amount of power with a 4 cylinder and a two-liter engine that can max out at 140 which btw is so much fun. This car is fun to drift with on gravel, back in VA I would do that all the time with my bf. You should try it sometimes. She's still running smoothly after 7 years.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It has great gas mileage and it's a manual which I love to drive.

Cons: It needs a new clutch right now and the parts are $250 :(

I Don't Like It — It suicks, I have nothing but problems with this car. I paid more for repairs then I did for the car. If you need a timing belt ($600) new hoses and belts ($500). Tires($300), breaks, plugs, break line and other stuff($1000). Don't buy one.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: there are none

Cons: it's a lemon

It was in my price range. I asked a tow driver who is also a mechanic and he stated that he rarely towed them or worked on them so I guess that would make them pretty reliable. Read More
