ride was bumpier than my 03 sedan, but normal for the different suspension in the wagon. generally a good car, except for the power antenna not working.

Great car! Got it as a sophomore in high school and was very happy with it. No major problems so far!

Gas Mizer — like the comfortable ride , dislike weak transmission, very economical ,very inexpensive to fix,car handles very well ,manages to get around in bad weather quite impressively, the Taurus seems to be one of fords strongest car brand this car is a real workhorse dispite its setbacks it is a very great car to own

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: real  economical car very inexpensive to repair

Cons: small back seat with front seats scooted all the way back, 12v sluggish at times

It Was Very Safe. — I really like how safe and reliable it was, it never let me down. The main thing I didn't like about it was how long the car was itself and the way the way it turned, it was too wide.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: How safe it was, how strong it was, how reliable it was.

Cons: The length, how it turned.

Perfect Family Car — I'm a ford man. The Taurus is made here in Chicago an several family members have worked at the plant. This car gives me power in the drive and comfort of safety for my family. I now have a teenager driving I'm not worried

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great family car

Cons: I can't afford to put the t.l.c. Into it the car needs

Decent Ride. — i like the fact that she handled good in all weather conditions, as well as the fuel economy, look and storage space in the trunk. i also used it to drive my brothers around as well as my friends when we all hung out. i liked the power of a v-6 as well as the performance. but, the Taurus can be plagued with a bunch of problems, such as the struts going bad, heater core going bad, transmission clunking out, rust on the rear fenders, and a bunch more mechanical. when something went wrong it was a pain in the butt to fix, and very expensive. all in all, the Taurus was a good car when it wanted to be. but it had its sick days.

Pros: its a fast little car, with it being only a v-6. 0-60 in about 6 seconds not bad. handles good in the snow with new tires, and the front locking diff. deffinately helped out. wasnt that bad of a car to me. held me and my brothers comfortably and got decent gas mileage for a ten year old car.

Cons: the struts on these models are cursed, and mine were as well. $400 for the rear suspension, the heater core went out, like most Tauruses, not that bad of a car mechanically, but when something does go wrong, whether it be mechanically or cosmetically, its expensive. my father and i have put well over 3,000 into it in the year i had it.

Good Quality Car For What We Paid For It 9 Years Ago. — It's been a good car, my wife is the primary driver & she likes it. Does go through a battery about every 2.5 years. We have had it for 9 years, It currently has 128,000 miles and everything still is in working order.

Pros: The Duratech engine delivers good power. Fuel milage is just OK. Comfortable front seats. Has been reliable with only normal upkeep.

Cons: Ride quality in the rear seat is only fair. Brakes are not as responsive as other Fords I have owned.

Dependable Even When Its In The Shop Ive Never Had To Wait More Than A Day And A Half On Any Repair — acceleration is sluggish at first but only with mine as far as I know there is definately a kink in the cable, and if i accelerate too quickly it will stick the car will accelerate on its own over rev and almost blow the engine....other than that its and awesome car, not the best on gas mileage, looks clean inside and out, handles corners like a sports car.

Pros: the look, the way i keep it looking and performing.

Cons: I really dont like all the repairs Ive had to get done to this vehicle, the years 2000-2004? have a few recalled parts, such as, front and rear coil springs, struts, transmissions (over 100,000 mi) and the paint on the rear fenders is starting to bubble and chip whitch is exposing rust spots ( a.k.a. michigan cancer)

Ford Taurus — Very good family car. Great on long trips. We have just over 100,000 miles and it almost all original except for brakes and tires. Well made car I'd recommend to anyone. The only major complaint is that I'd like it to have more power, although it does get 30 to 32 mpg.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The color!

Cons: No turbo
