The 2.9 is powered by a naturally aspirated inline six, which generates 197 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. In keeping with Volvo's strong reputation for safety, the mid-size sedan includes dual front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, front seat active head restraints, ABS, traction control and daytime running lights.

This entry level S80 comes standard with dual zone automatic climate control, cruise control, leather upholstery, power front seats, a driver seat memory function, heated power mirrors, keyless entry, a power sunroof, a trip computer, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a garage door opener and an anti-theft system.

This mid-level S80 sedan upgrades to a turbocharged inline six, which provides 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The four-speed automatic transmission comes with manual shift feature on this trim. The T6 and 2.9 are similarly equipped, but this model adds fog lamps and variable-assist power steering. Options include a four-disc in-dash CD changer and a navigation system.

The new T6 Executive sedan is also powered by the turbocharged 2.8 liter inline six, paired with the four-speed automatic with the manual shift function. The Executive's rear seat positioning adds two inches of additional leg room, and a myriad of additional luxury features. Executive upgrades include heated rear seats, a DVD entertainment system with television capability, a refrigerator, a rear center console and a power rear sunshade. The Seating decreases from five to four, and the sunroof is no longer included.
