Leaking Cab....
I have a 2000 Tundra extended cab that leaks in the right and left corner behind the rear seat....the rear window does not appear to be leaking. Any thoughts???

The 2000 Toyota Tundra made its debut in May of 1999, brought in to replace the aging T-100. Originally called the T-150, the name was changed when Ford sued Toyota for choosing a name too close to that of its own full-size truck, the F-150.
The 2000 Tundra was the first full-size pickup truck ever sold by a foreign automaker, and was brought to the states to compete with the Ford, the Dodge Ram, and Chevy Silverado. The American truck makers had a right to be nervous: the new truck was solid and quiet, with power from the V8 to impress any consumer.
Toyota created a variety of engines, starting with the base 3.4-liter double overhead cam V6 rated at 190 horsepower and 220 lb/ft of torque. However, about 95% of drivers spurned this engine for one of the V8's, including the top-end capable of 245 horsepower and 315 lb/ft of torque.

Quiet, fun to drive, and reliable, I have owned this truck for over 11 years. I bought it used with 30K miles on it and have only put on 65K in the 11 years. With only 95k miles, it still is very tight.May 12, 2015

The Tundra is popular by high demand for a very good concrete reason, It's built to last, these trucks are know to be driven over 300k+ miles. I've seen Tundras coming thru auction with over 400k miles and still got sold for above market value. Contractor's favorite. I mainly sell this vehicles to construction / renovation / utility contractors or handyman.

This is the first year of the Tundra. Not at all like the 2012' s. I like the more compact feel of this particular year. It is spacious enough interior wise without feeling huge! Handles well and has been extremely dependable with regular scheduled maintenance. The access cab is very handy for groceries and such. On the few occasions when I had more than one passenger, those who road in the back seat had no complaints.Dec 30, 2012

I was looking for a truck that fit my style and the Tundra nailed it.
It has been the most reliable daily driver I have ever owned.
I really like the quiet cabin and the fact that it will haul anything I dish out.
If you are really looking to fill the rear of the truck I would suggest an air ride system.
this truck really looks great even after twelve years.

What I like about this truck is that it does everything the average person needs. It will pull just about anything, I periodically drive up to West Virginia and pulls cars back to Georgia with it no problems. Even though its a two wheel drive I still do off road with it very well.
What I don't like about it is the back seat is just a tad small for people to sit.

Performance - accelerates well for a 1/2 ton, upgraded brakes help, handling?

Build Quality - great! Nothing breaks that I can't fix in an afternoon
Appearance - I think it looks damn good
Cost of ownership - maintenance is cheap, gas mileage is nothing to brag about
(13/18), but its a truck
Fun factor - I can make almost any car fun to drive as long as it is has some

The Pickup is amazing you just cant beat toyota quality. The power surprises me all the time. it cruises 70 mph at 2500 rpm. its cheap to maintain and anyone looks good driving it. Gas mileage is amazing for a pickupJul 18, 2009

Wish I spent the money on the TRD. You live and you learn. Will never buy black again but loved it when it was clean. Miss the stereo system and the performance. WOW. Never had a problem except the check engine light kept coming on but nothing really changed in the way the truck performed.Apr 13, 2009

I purchased this car used with 24,000 miles on it eleven years ago. It now has 110,000 miles and the only issue other than scheduled maintenance has been the rear brakes. This truck has performed flawlessly. Smooth ride with great power, it has been used as a work truck to haul dirt, gravel, and lumber, as well as to commute to work. I love my truck. I take my dog Fritz to work, the park, in it. Pick up stuff at Home Depot, shipments for work. It never breaks. It's a Toyota! I have tinted the windows, custom steroe, PIAA healights/fog lights, bilstein shocks, trailer hitch. I hauled my ATV's to the desert for years in it before I sold them.Jul 16, 2008

I love my Tundra. I bought it 2 years ago and have had a lot of fun with it ever since. I especially like how well it handles "off the beaten path". It's comfortable and roomy (enough for me) and seats 5 just fine. I wouldn't trade it in for anything - except a new Tundra (of course).Aug 16, 2007
