2000 Plymouth Neon 4 Dr Highline SedanReview

Good Dependable Car — one of the best compact cars available, very dependable but lacks power for the experienced driver, great first car, easily modded, great gas mileage and surprisingly fun to drive. i would recommend this car to anyone looking for a good dependable American made car. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Gas mileage Cons: low power |

2000 Plymouth Neon — The performance on this car was great, i never had to replace the little things like brakes and whatnot. The appearance was awesome, it was red with a black front bumper, i couldn't see it any other way. It got good gas mileage 30+. Mine had a problem with starting when the weather was cold, which isn't very good for living in MN. I sure miss driving it though. I loved that little car. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: gas mileage, appearance and a fun car to drive Cons: reliabilty in the winter and mine had problems the mechanics couldn't figure out |

Shes Pretty And Easy To Decorate... For Those Who Like The Show Only — its way too heavy for the motor that is in it. its not as fast as its previous generations or as fast as the future generations, like the sxt or srt-4. but if u put some love and care into it like u need to with other cars, like a turbo, or supercharger and a lightweight body kit shell giddy up and go witht the best of them! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: cause I bought this car for myself without help from mom and dad Cons: if u like speed... not this one with out work |

My Little Puddle-jumping Neon — Definately NOT built for comfort, but it gets me from point A to point B. Interior/exterior are not a problem. Good gas mileage. Handles well - especially on the back roads where the potholes are abundant... Thinking about passing this one on to my teenage daughter. It would be perfect for her. Pros: Gets me from point A to B. Cons: The shocks need to be replaced at this moment. Potholes - gotta love em! |

... — i loved that car...completely under rated. people would look at it and be like oh, it's a neon then they would ride in it and be like omg! of course it did not hurt that mine was a 5sp dual overhead cam neon ;-) my ex special ordered it for me, and it was a fast little toy....a rollerskate, with a rocket engine he always said ;-) Pros: fast, great gas mileage Cons: too low to the ground, have to be really careful on bumps or you can take out the oil pan...believe me i have done it |

Protected Me From Injury In A Crash — The person who hit me neglected to stop as I sat at a stoplight. This sent me hurtling into a light standard which rendered the car a write-off (and the light standard too). The car did it's job though - it crumpled on the outside, protecting me from injury Pros: Ability to absorb impact Cons: Red colour - I guess people don't realize you're stopped when the brakelights blend in to the car's colour - seriously - it happened on three occasions - the third time was the last |

Decent Car — the car is ok, if you dont have to replace the fuel pump, c/v axle, and do a transmission flush all at the same time, its wonderful, and beleive it or not it can drift, and has a lot of giddy up great for subwoofers and low power accesories Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: styling is great, lots of aftermarket body parts available, sounds good, radio is great Cons: mine personally sucks on gas |

This A Overall Good Car It Could Be Better But It Not A Horrible Car — I like the room in the trunk and the cheap parts. The custom parts is one thing I can never find and I hate that it has no power. It handles ok an is not bad around corners but there is no power. You floor it and nothing happens. This car is not the worst I have drove but is defiantly not the best. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: I like the gas mileage I get in the car and I like the cheap parts. For its size the neon trunk compartment is huge especially when you fold down the back seats. I once had 5, 2x4s in the car it came to the center console but it fit inside the car and was not in the way Cons: This car has no power. You can floor it and nothing happens this is my least favorite thing about the car. I also do not like that custom parts are extremely hard to find like tail lights and body kits. |

Great car, we had it for 15 years, since 2003, until it hydroplaned into a truck after heavy rain... Completely protected my sister in the crash, but unfortunately the car was totaled because of its low value... Seriously, if you need a cheap dependable car and dont need much power, this car is for you. vs2012 Honda Fit
