Fast Fun And Fuel Efficient With Class! — Great car for commuting comfortably. Should invest in some snow tires if you do so in our northern climes where there is this crap called snow and its stock summer/ all seasons don't get a lot of traction but help with the mileage. The dash LCD pixels have a tendency to go out and the lights for the other gauges use off brand light bulbs which I was only able to find on-line. That said I was able to "re-build" the dash with a hair dryer some parts from AKspeedo in the U.K., some light bulbs and time for under $50. Lack of tilt wheel is annoying but not terrible to get used to. Has a bunch of luxury features that are fun to play with and show off to your friends e.g. retractable head rests, rear window screen remote control windows. Auto intermittent wiper is annoying in some weather as it likes to go faster than it needs to. It only has one wiper to control which is interesting. Auto dimming interior and driver side exterior mirrors are nice but slow sometimes. Plenty of power and still reasonably fuel efficient and fun to drive. Trunk is a good size for the car and the seats fold 60/40 style if you need more luggage space. It isn't a truck though so don't expect to haul a lot. Over all great spend of money as I got this one for $6,500.00 used with 90k on the clock in good shape with only two small DIY repairable rust spots and some other luckily easily fixed issues.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 215 Horsepower and 229 Ft.Lbs of torque still gets 30.4 on a good day and a pretty consistent 27 from a 3.2L motor. Great Stereo with a built in Weather Band which is awesome. Suprising amount of space considering its a 2 door coupe and shorter and narrower than a civic.

Cons: If you are over 5'8" don't plan on sitting in the back seat. That being said anyone under that can sit comfortably. Traction control kicks in to quickly. Rust because of a terrible windshield drain design.

Fun In The Sun ! — This is the garage baby. My wife drives it to the grocery store and not much farther. It goes to South Florida probably twice a year and is great on I-75. This car has tons of power (V-8) and a gas bill to go along with it. It's worth every drop though. The 430CLK has plenty of eye appeal because it has the AMG wheels and body kit. This is not a family car. The back seat has no leg room so you can't really take another couple out to dinner in it. All in all, my wife won't part with it. It's a 2000 with only 45,000 miles.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: We love this car. It's fun to drive and great on the highway.

    Cons: Fuel economy

Clk 230 Kompressor - Greatest Car I Ever Had. — I love its line and the sound of the moror... The performance is incredible, maybe not the best car for urban use, though. AMG rims are beautiful and black leather interior is also great. Taxes are quite high and that's the only negative point (thanks Belgian government !). This car is just wonderful to drive.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Just everything... I love it.

    Cons: Consumption and taxes

A Great Car — With the CLK 430, i get the feeling of driving an exotic car. One problem with it is the seats Mercedes Benz used were held together with poor quality threading, sending this car to the shop many times to fix it.

    Pros: FUN

    Cons: Bad stitching

Great $55k Car For A Fraction Of The Price Now — This car is beautiful and accelerates 0-80 in like 2 seconds! Well, not really, but it seems like it. White paint is like glass, and the interior is solid. It's fun to drive and gets looks all day. The convertible top is very simple and fast.

    Pros: Acceleration, looks, handling

Cons: Trunk space, back seat space

2000 Mercedes Clk 430cab Sure Delivers... — Having owned several 4 seat convertbiles in the past (Saab Turbo, CLK,etc.), the CLK 430 Cab offers the best mix of performance, style and reliability. The V-8 never fails to deliver, the interior is a bit dressed up over some other cars, the ride is sporty but more comfortable then an M3, and I cannot stand the look of the new ones. The rear end doesn't work for me, so I continue to hang onto this model and enjoy it every day. With the top up, you wouldn't even know you were in a convertible..quiet and solid.

    Pros: performance, comfort, room, appearance

    Cons: nothing of significance
