Wonderful To Drive — This car has it all. It was a dream to drive, the quality was like none other--windows were so thick you felt like you were sitting in your living room. The style is consistent with what one expects from a leader. It's worth every dime.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Drives like a dream.

Cons: Maintenance costs

Flagship Mercedes — Excellent full-sized sedan with history and pedigree that set this model apart. Drives like a top of the line sedan should with comfort and features that weren't available until years later. Premium fuel will set you back a bit if a daily driver though.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: flagship model for the year. excellent car that needs no hype.

Cons: gas mileage and maintenance costs (when needed by Mercedes)

???? Wats The Bottom Line Mean? — It was a realy good and safe car its got a nice 8cylinser engine and its full spec.Gulf edition. its such a fast car and i think one of the best cars weve had. if your doing 180 it seems as thougjh your doing 60. its a really beautiful car, fast acceleration, power steering, traction control, 5.7l engine, nice body kit, very safe and good for long travels. and its a total ice box ( freezing A/C). Very fun to drive but a very deer car, she drinks too much gas, mantainance is also very expensive... other wise shes a real beauty.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun for speed fanatics, superior steering and braking, one of the safest cars ever built!

Cons: Too much costing on fuel and mantainance... but its ok...

I Still Can't Get Over How Nice This Car Is. — Simply the best. I have a 4 seat 4 door model - rare, but worth every cent. 4 sixteen way adjustable buckets seats (yes, the rear seats decline too), all with heat, 3 zone climate control, and an unreal Bose sound system - made even better by the double pane door glass (quiet).

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Solid, Safe, Fast, Comfortable

Cons: Few, as long as you realize that maintaining a car like this is worth it.

Most Beautiful Sedan On The Road In Its Class. — I always loved this car for it's luxurious ride, beauty, huge deep front seats, power power power. Then it saved my life and my 87 yr old moms. We were stopped in traffic, when a Honda Accord hit us in the rear at full speed - according to the witnesses - no brakes were applied and the Honda was accelerating. Say More? Love eternal.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Safety, Quiet, Safety, Power, Safety, Turning Radius, Safety

Cons: Costly parts, but worth it. Just look at it! Nothing Cheap.

1998 Mercedes-benz S 280 —

The car is really comfortable which serve the purpose of the car, I never really drive it much but I drove it a few times but I didn't like it because the steering has no feeling to it, and the whole car is moving quite slowly even if you floored it. After all it is an old car but what I liked most about it is the look of it, it is very classic and the wheel base is so long it looks as if there is another role of seat between the driver and the passenger. The build quality is very good if well maintained which my family is not so much of a car care taker. Although I have seen those one that are kept so well maintain every single thing on them still works. SO.. I didn't like driving it but doesn't mean I don't like the car I still do like the car as long as my driver continue the job. I believe that a good example of this last square-ish front light S-class would still look stunning after 10 years because the design is so classic it makes you wanna keep it. And for today standard the comfortableness is still very good. So as far as this thing will continue to roll I don't think we will ever sell it. It is a family heritage after all

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Comfyness, long wheel base, storage practicality, the look of the car

Cons: I just don't want to drive it. It is quite a boring car (maybe when I'm older I might reconsider)

S 500 , Champagne Motoring For Lemmonade Money — at £86000 new this is a lot of car for no money second hand, the last over engineered mercedes. build quality, comfort and a list of extras that would take a toilet roll lengthj of paper to list.. it even has 4 hidden radio aeriels ! it took mercedes 1 billion dollars to develop this car..it shows.... 20mpg round town... 25 out of town , its more economical than my 4x4 diesel shogun i had and 0- 60 mph in under 8 seconds is faster than my golf gti

Pros: a lot of car

Cons: a lot of car
