The 97 Buick LeSabre has very clean classic lines with a very comfortable ride and ample power as well as decent fuel economy provided by the 3.8 litre engine, car pulls through the snow with no problems and feels sure footed on the open hwy. The build quality is better than expected and the materials used were on par with GM's cadillac division at that time. This vehicle feels like it was meant for long trips and will provide satisfaction in driving around town as well. With the supply of parts around as this was a pretty popular car during its production, it would be a wise purchase for the money.Feb 09, 2014

Good starter car for anyone to drive. Has been very reliable and safe. Handles well and rides the kids with no problems. Great for long or short trips. Vacation car for sure. Long distances or short there is plenty of room for the family and friends and a huge trunk space as well.

Performance - It's got a 3.8l Series II V6. Accelerates better than any other V6 Series II I've driven. Everyone always asks why mines so much better than theirs..simply take care of it.
Build Quality - Things rarely go wrong with these cars, especially under the hood. Unfortunately my transmission did go out, but I got a new one back in and it runs just fine and haven't had any problems with it.
Appearance - basic Grandparent car, unexpected to do anything suspicious by the cops, it's perfect.
Cost - Gas mileage isn't bad, about 25mpg on the highway going 80mph-85mphAug 18, 2012

Wide frame with lower center helps for above-average manueverability for a mid-size sedan. Always need good grade tires which of course helps out with bad gas mileage with makes you think twice before making back-and-forth trips. chepa but great when kept in tip top shape.Jan 04, 2011

This car preforms well for it's engine it accelerates quickly even with low rpms and can hold a cruize of 80 at just above 2000 rpms making it very fuel efficent even at high speeds. It could use some repairs under the body exterior is fine, it needs new shocks and struts first, im currently replacing the plugs and oil.Sep 26, 2009

Performance- Has some power for a 6, needs new
pads but otherwise very good, every turn you feel like
your riding on the side of the tires because the body
rolls so much.
Biuld Quality- Great car has 170 k on it. GM 3800 V6
is a bulletproof engine.
Cost of Ownership- 30 mpg hwy, 23 mpg city, has a

i bought this car in 2005 and have driven it all over the east coast. it is comfortable to drive and has power when you need it. people sleep on it because it looks like an older car but she can move when she needs to.Aug 23, 2009

Good gas mileage for bigger car. Great performance, Series II 3.8 V6 has a lot of
power. I think it is a nice looking car, even if some people think it looks like a older
person's car. Love the ride, fun to drive.............until with in about a few months
i had to drop about $23XX into it for a tranny and radiator and then the engine dies

Got it for free. God rest my grandmothers soul but she passed and that's how I got it. Overall a great car for a college student such as myself. Not planning on doing anything really performance wise but appearance will change. Soon to have a completely aftermarket sound system. Later will fix all the dents and dings. Repair all the interior flaw. In the near future will have tints, a new paint job, and 20 inch rims.Oct 27, 2008

It a head turner if ONLY you have a FULL silver or a color like mine, a 5 color paint straight from the company. Mine turns gold, light blue, grey, silver, and tan. I even took it to the race track and smoked a Cadillac Deville and a Lincoln.Apr 04, 2008

Great car, it runs really smooth. Interior is cozy, exterior is beautifull. The engine is solid, I have had only one problem with it in two years. Engine noise is a minimal in and outside of the car. And for a luxury car, the speakers are kick a$$.Apr 02, 2008

this car drives really well for a daily commuter, and can perform surprisingly well. must be that 3.8 liter V-6 buick put under the hood. This car also is very aero-sensative, i.e. it likes to draft behind other cars in high speed traffic.Mar 30, 2008
