shudders for a second at 35, and 55 but I think It's coil packs or a bad sensor or something cheap because I floor it and it does fine. It's overall a good car. It's got good gas mileage for a v8Apr 30, 2014

I bought this car for a very reasonable price,I like the power ,looks, comfort .and especially the handling,it handles very well .I do wish the car came with wider tires but

What I dislike about the car is the lack of space when your trying to work on the engine, install spark plugs, spark plug cables. You got to take off the air systems completely, then take off the alternator just so you can even begin to take off the spark plug cables.
Accelerates fine. Would be better if the car had 3.27 or 3.55 gear ratio in the rear-end, or like police cars have a 3.73 in it.Jun 16, 2011

This is a good looking ride, good performance, acceleration and handling. Have had some problems with transmission slipping, poor on gas milage but you don't buy a car like this for gas milage. had the car since new, with 75,000 miles on it. Apr 04, 2011

It was a good car ran great and smooth. The 4.6L 281ci engine gave it ok power but wasnt super impressed with the performance of the vechile. but overall it was a good car to have for a daily driver. it made routine drivin very comfortable. Feb 13, 2011

This car looked great, it had a great take off, and handled great. The suspension needed some work and it needed a freezeplug replaced. I loved the a/c and how you could set it The seats were very comfortable, too. I loved the v-8!Jun 05, 2010

I had this car while I worked at the movie theaters. Had the radio stolen. Blew ALL of the speakers and locked the motor up, but it GO when you gave it gas. You could actually slide it.
Tara and Kat and company decorated the interior. Twas the only part that I really liked.Apr 30, 2010

My first and hopefully last experience with a Ford was NOT a good one. Terrible gas mileage, interior pieces were breaking pretty regularly, and the transmission was already showing signs of early retirement at only 55, 000 miles. Just awful.Jan 10, 2010

V-8. That is all I have to say. 260 stock Horsepower. Multi Port Sequencial FGuel In jection. Handling would be better with sispension modificvations. Needs a better rtear end or upgrades to the current one. Transmissions is good for factory buto ebuild with a shift kit and minor upgrades would make it outstanding.Smooth ride Sep 21, 2009

I was driving the Thunderbird when it was pretty new, so there wasn't anything wrong with it. I liked the performance of the V8 engine and the sleek styling and extremely comfortable ride. The trunk was a bit low for large items, but that wasn't a big problem.Aug 03, 2009

Its a pretty old car and it burns a lot of oil when it runs, im like the third owner so its had a lot of abuse but the 4.6 liter V-8 is bullet and i will drive it till it dies.May 18, 2009

it has its issues, large doors too heavy to close properly, switches inside that are in poor locale so they gett pressed non-purposely, a suspenssion so beat'n and worn that you feel and hear every pothole in the city, rust forming on the C-pillar from water getting trapped under the metal right where the molding for the rear glass is. I love the stance this beast has, its size is increadible, and it's fun to drive in the city or on the highway.Apr 27, 2009

This picture is actually of my car. This is actually my 1995 T-bird. I didn't know it was being used as a stock photo on facebook!
The god damn thing costs a small fortune to own. I'm on my second trans, and my 2nd front end. The suspension was shot so I completely replaced it with eibach lowering springs and KYB shocks. The thing constantly breaks rear link pins. I have replaced 6! (that's three sets!). It's a low mileage car and I plan on keeping it as long as possible. It currently sits in my driveway with the cover on it, as I drive my other cars regularly.

Performance- Accelerates hard, stops just over the dime, handles like it's on rails
Build Quality- Not bad, door hinges are a little too weak and do need replacement after some time
Appearance- looks awesome.
Cost- Not too bad on gas, if you keep your foot out of it.maintanence can be a little pricey, plus alot of electonics to deal with.
Fun Factor- My '95 SC is a 5-speed version, so it's a lot of fun to drive, and I have suprised one or two Mustangs.Aug 23, 2008

Despite being out of production for over ten years the 91-97 Thunderbirds remain a favortie of mine for the comfort and style they offered. having owned a 91 and a 95 I have never had any mechanical problems and despite a devestating accident in one myself and my wife were left uninjured. I give it 4 stars. The car is reliable, but sucks to drive in the winter time, it is fun to drive, can be enhanced easily, was very luxurious at the time of its release, lots of trunk room, lots of leg room, I call it a good drivers car, and it is cheap to insure. The cheap insurance helps make up for the extra 1-2 MPG it should be getting.

This was an incredibly fun car. The same durable drivetrain as a Crown Vic or Mustang in an intermediate size. Looks great, handles very nicely, and just feels well built. I wish I hadn't crashed it...May 09, 2008

was a pretty nice car. Good powerful American engine, basic interior, sloppy automatic

I needed the 95 (over the 93) for two reasons: airbags and the 4.6L V8. When I bought it, it already had the Xenon kit. It came with leather, sunroof, power everything, cruise control and automatic lights. It's got great power for a midsized American car. I loved the 93 because it lasted so long. It has 250,000 + miles and is still going. My 95 will now be a project car. Hopefully I can get the (slightly better) V8 from a 97 and do a PI head swap, along with some body work: fiberglassing the Xenon kit, paint, etc...

4.6 V8 Powered. Runs strong. It's a fun car, Interior in great shape but the exterior needs a new paint job and to pop out some little dings out of it. Black, 101k. Mustang powered in a Thunderbird. I say sporty becouse its not truly a sports car. It lacks the down shifting needed to get the car moving from a cruseing speed. Off the line starts fine, so is topend. I also like the facted that my kids (all three of them) can fit rather nice in the back seats. the ride is nice also. i would have to say the car would have a 5 out of 5 if it was built a bit better. the trany has a short life and the shocks should be a bit more hefty. overall, if you are a family man looking for a fun car to drive, and dont want to spend the extra cash on a new car, the 95 thunderbird my be the car for youMay 06, 2007

I have owned my 1995 T-bird since 2002. Since I have owned it, I have had the trans rebuilt, rebuilt the front end twice, replaced the rear link pins 4 times, etc. No to mention the strut rod bushings! It needs new shocks again, I just put these on in 2004 when I lowered the car, but they were cheap, so I didn't expect them to last too long! It is a 4.6 V8 and has good power. The trans shifts really softly, but I am going to put the shift kit in this summer, and possibly a 355 locking rear. Not too sure yet! The car has about 75,000 miles on it now, and still runs great. I have 3 cars, so I do not drive it every day. Only when the weather is nice, as it is terrible in anykind of weather.Feb 12, 2007

What is the correct size for a 1995 TBird: 5 X 4.25 or 5 X 4.50? I have seen both of these sizes listed for my car on different sites. I don't have the stock wheels. Also, what other Ford wheels will fit the 95 TBird? Like Mustang years 19XX to 19XX or something?

i have a 95 t-bird that stalls after start up and runs rough like low fuel pressure
my car start up and dies at start and start for the 2 time and car runs with little power/ with low rpm like 500 than it goes up to about 1000 and runs fine and run like low fuel pressure, or lack of power. I have replace: the fuel fitter, furl pressure regulator, idle air control valve, and I had the throttle body cleaned and sometimes it still run rough some time( comes and goes)
