Reliable, Family With A Nice Sporty Twist. — I like that I can put my family in the car and no that we are going to make it to are destination and back. Real easy to drive, with a sporty feet to it. Very fun to drive. My favorite feature is the sunroof, love it open on a nice warm evening.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's a sweet running car. I am impressed with it

Cons: issues with the volume button on the radio and no head liner in the car

Great Automobile — Acceleraton was good for the type of car and size of engine 3.0L V6, braking was good disk breaks all around for that year. Handled well. It was built solid, with one issue trans gaskets wear after two years. The appearance was better that the previous generation. As you can see in my pic, I didn't like it looking like others. I loved driving this joker

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Everything!

Cons: Trans gasket issue and the generation that came in 96

The Taurus Is A Great Platform To Work With Especially The Sho!!! — the Taurus has great reliability and handling but the 3.0L Vulcan lacks in power and acceleration its is however a vary comfortable and safe ride it is a great family car but also makes a BA sleeper i hope to keep mine for awhile

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: the Taurus has great handling and is EZ to MOD i just wish the 3.0L Vulcan eng had a bit more pow to it. this car just makes you feel in control when driving it

Cons: acceleration sucks thats all i dont like about this car

Worth The Money — i like the fact that it has power and is still great on gas. and its the first car i have seen hats completely all green. hadles nice its not all rotted out and the motor is sound. the breaklines and trsnny lines are all brand new the brakes are all brand new. the interior is super clean. no cracks splits tears or rips anywhre in the interior or the trunk.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: runs great and great on gas.

Cons: its a ford

Love It — 3.0L Yamaha engine, Borla cat-back exhaust. 5 speed transmission. The style is deceiving. Fast car but it looks like Grandma's grocery getter. The only downside is maintenance. Not a lot of people will work on them so you end up doing a lot of the work yourself.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's a sleeper

Cons: Maintenance

Good Shape — The performance is basic, but nice. power steering is amazing. It can hardly handle off roading, but it gets me where i need to go. gas mileage is not too bad. It's not all that expencive to maintain either. it's very roomy inside.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: good on gas, and has potential

Cons: its kinda ugly

Do Not Buy — PIECE OF JUNK, very ugly, fell apart, and the transmission was HORRIBLE. Barely shifted gears. Motor was strong, but everything else was horrible. The car did get decent gas mileage on the highway, i would say around 29 or 30 MPG.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: reliable motor

Cons: horrible transmission, uncomfortable, poor build quality, rusts easily

You Think A V-8 Taurus Would Be Faster Than A V-6 Taurus — Unfortunately this was the last year you could get a manual transmission in the SHO's . This was a fantastic car. Ford had pretty much fixed the majority of the problems with the Taurus SHO, and then completely changed the entire vehicle. High revving V-6, gone, manual transmission, gone, performance, gone. Oh well, Ford will be coming out with another version of the SHO soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Pros: Good performance, reliable

Cons: Brakes, stay away from the automatic transmission

1995 Ford Taurus Lx — When the taurus was stock i thought the same as others but as i got into them it came about to the SHO and the LX interior. Little things here and there make the car a one and only. there is body work to buy and interior to buy.

Pros: Unique car

Cons: people look down on them
