For 1995, the last year of the second generation of Dodge Caravan, Chrysler made few changes to its popular minivan, and most of these were in exterior trim options to dress up the van and make it less stodgy in the face of better-looking competition. Even though it still led the market, the Dodge Caravan was a bit self-conscious of its looks.

Now with four engine choices since 1994 (2.5-liter, 3.0-liter, 3.3-liter, and the most recent 3.8-liter) and the option of standard or extended versions (the Grand Caravans), the 1995 Dodge Caravan SE came with a Sports Package. The "sports" in Sports Package meant a luggage rack, sunscreen glass, and black window trim. The 1995 Caravan also stopped offering manual transmission, offering only a 3-speed and 4-speed automatic. The Caravan C/V was discontinued this year.

Each year, the Dodge Caravan's ride gets smoother and quieter, handling more like a car, which was always one of the goals of Chrysler's minivans -- the cargo capacity of a truck with the feel of a station wagon.

performance-awful build quality- ok appearance- bad cost of ownership- an arm n a leg broke down in the walmart parking lot. if one thing went n u fixed it it would break again n something else would go on itDec 19, 2011

In the past 7 months since I purchased this car, it's needed some minor brake work, new fuel pump and battery. Now it has a high idle problem that I HOPE isn't related to the transmission! Has 150,000 miles on it, and previous had a rebuilt transmission installed at AAMCO three years ago. Otherwise, I like the look and handling of the car.Mar 15, 2011

Overall pretty reliable for the lesser of the Detroit 3. One of the last minivans to have a little bit of style, until the newest generation. Pickup is shocking for a soccer mom's car, governor is set at 95mph but could probably do 100 on a flat enough road. Was the last year to not use an independent suspension so will never have that "floating" feeling that I like.Sep 10, 2010
