Awesome And Comfortable Car — I really think this is a good car and I would recommend this car to anyone. This is my first car and I don't think that I would get rid of this car for a long time. This is really a nice car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Good gas millage, Comfortable car, Great acceleration

Cons: Not much room in back seats

If You're Lucky Enough To Own One, You'll Know Why It's Loved. —

Performance is a bit sub-par for this car, but it's to be expected with a underpowered base model. From experience, acceleration is slow at slower speeds but it does pick up faster in the higher gears. It can hit 180 kph, and I've seen it last for a few hours on extended runs between 140-160 kph. Braking feels good for its size, and the handling is fairly responsive. One thing to note (as I live in a cold climate) is that this car seems to start no matter how cold it is. I've never had it not plugged in when colder than -30C, but at this temperature it turns over without a problem. Build quality is great. No problems so far, but the lower mileage may be the reason for this. The interior is nice, with the only drawback being no cupholders. The car feels solid no matter the speed you drive at, and nothing in the car feels flimsy. The appearance is drop-dead sexy. I've looked at earlier and later T-birds (80's up) and this one seems to have the right amount of flair. The front end styling on the 90-92s seems more proper for this car compared to the 93s and later. This car is just class, all around. Cost of Ownership is good. My maintenance on the car is lower than it should be due to a busy life, but there have been no problems. It's a domestic so parts aren't a concern. Gas mileage isn't bad for a V-6 of its age either. Fun Factor: For what this car was built to be, it's great. Handling is fantastic, interior noise is low, the ride is great even on gravel roads. As someone else put it, it's hard not to keep from speeding in it. I've talked with a few other T-bird owners after they see my car, and I have yet to hear anything bad about their overall experiences with these birds.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: A reliable and fun car that has a great ride and feel.

Cons: The car is older now, and gas mileage isn't amazing.

Only Get The 5.0 V8 Version — the engine is the only thing that made me love this car everything else was jus too poorly designed. It was fun too drive from time too time but the weight ratio became a problem so thats pretty much it

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: it cheap and good for mild thrills

Cons: the car is cheaply made

This Thing Will Live Forever. — Damn. I'd have to say this is one of the best designed cars from the 80s or the 90s. Hell, mine was hit by a Semi square in the back. I was stopped, the Semi was estimated to be doing 50mph when he hit me because of the skid marks and when he finally stopped. I still drove that car around for another couple weeks until their insurance company offered nearly four times the kelly blue book value of the car. My only real problem was the 3.8L V6 engine. I always wanted more power. But as for speed, both me and my parents have had it in the 140s. It is also quite surprising acceleration-wise. Not too many turboed hondas or toyotas could keep up with my rear wheel drive, 140hp, 3500lb, automatic transmition, american luxury car with an independent rear suspension.

Pros: Reliability, super durable construction, fast top speed, extremely low drag coeffecient

Cons: don't make too many performance parts.  mine was already in a couple wrecks before I got it.  Interior was a great design but it definitely showed its age.

Old But Good. — My first car. It was old when i got it and i literally drove the wheels off it.

Pros: V-6 has some punch, handles well on sharp turns

Cons: poor stereo, poor braking, automatic seat belts are annoying

My First Car — Wow, here's a trip down memory lane. This was my first car. I bought it in exchange for $650 and fixing the previous owner's computer. Probably the only American car I'll ever buy as a main car... Probably the only coupe I'll ever buy as a main car too. I certainly had a love-hate relationship with this car. It's the first car I got pulled over in doing 110mph in a 55. The death of the water pump sealed the fate of this car as it sat in the driveway and was eventually sold to a junk yard for $100. In retrospect, it probably would have been better to blow it up and put it on youtube. *sigh*

Pros: cheap, nice color, takes regular gas

Cons: Way too many mechanical failures before 100k, American cars are not meant to last

This Was My Car... — This was the car I drove through high school. It wasn't always like this. The purpose of this car was to be a good daily driver/cruiser. I just put a K&N FIPK and Flowmaster exhaust, with Eibach Springs and KYB GR-2 shocks for a nicer stance. For electronics I put in a Compustar Alarm/Remote start, Pioneer DEH 7800 MP with a voltage sensing TACH, Infinity Reference 5X7s, MTX 6001, and two Infinity 10" subs in a Bassworx twin slot ported box with a gloss finish.

Pros: Good looking reliable daily driver

Cons: Slow and a pig on gas in spite of being a 6 banger

Fast — This is the most fun I have ever had with a car. The mustang is great in all but this car has my heart.

Pros: very roomy
