The 1991 Audi 100 STD base sedan was a four-door luxury family car, with plenty of style inside and out, and plenty of elbow room to turn even long road trips into a pleasing experience. In 1991, the STD received a few more standard features that would more certainly be costly options in comparable cars. Among the already present ABS brakes, cruise control, air conditioning, power sunroof, and power windows and locks were added tinted glass, fog lights, intermittent wipers, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.
If that's not enough for you, you could pick from a list of options, including power adjustable front seats, heated seats, leather upholstery, and a trip computer. All drivers agree that the 1991 Audi 100 is extremely durable and ages well. It is roomy and comfortable inside, and despite its large size, the handling is light and easy. Some drivers complain about problems with the hydraulics and electrical system. When repairs are needed, everyone agrees it is very costly.

The only difference between the 1991 Audi 100 STD base model sedan and the quattro AWD is the quattro technology, which brings greater stability, handling, control, and traction to the already sturdy workhorse hidden underneath the trappings of a luxury sedan.
The Audi 100 quattro features all-wheel drive with a 2.3-liter, 130-hp, 5-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. New standard features this year are the same as with the base sedan, including fog lights and tinted glass. As always, the quattro comes with ABS brakes, cruise control, power sunroof, power heated mirrors, and power windows and locks. Biggest complaints center around sluggish initial acceleration (though once it gets up to speed, there are few complaints!) and expensive parts. But these are overshadowed by praise for the Audi 100's speed, room, comfort, strength, and the AWD capabilities that make quick work of snow and ice.
