Loved the 302 V8, wish that would've been a factory option. Great performance in the straightline as well as when the curves got tight. Being so customized does lead to some headaches the rare occasions it had issues. Great looks, a real sleeper. Fuel mileage was horrendous-but considering how it was tuned for maximum power, expected. Most fun vehicle I've ever had.Sep 27, 2012

runs great, high quality parts, never had a major problem with it, handles good, no complaints on performance, appearance is good, love the body shape, just could use a paint job, wisconsin winter isnt kind to older vehicles, gets good gas milage for having a bigger v6.May 09, 2012

Only had this truck for a little over a month and am loving it. runs pretty good. drives good. looks decent for being painted with a spray can. has had minor issues, but nothing extremely hard or expensive to fix. gets good gas mileage. fun to drive, haven't had the chance to take it off-roading yet. only paid $650 for it.Oct 19, 2011

It's stock, it was cheap,it's 21 years old, im gonna do some body work to it, gets sideways nicely, fun in the snow and fun off-road. accelerates, brakes, handles fine for an old small truck. the only thing wrong with it is the windshield washer doesnt work, havent changed the fuse no big deal, interior is gonna get changed to a two seater instead of the 3/4 split. costs about $60 to fill it up 400km to a tank.Jan 06, 2011

Shes just an old truck. 2.3 liter 2 wheel drive. shes alot more powerful than you think though. i once towed a ford explorer for about twenty miles in stop and go trafic and keep in mind she is a stick shift. She needs body work and has about 300,000 miles on herSep 25, 2010

being a truck that was not built for speed but rather a comfortable drive I feel it
deserves 5 stars across the board. It had great gas mileage, it had some get up
and go and the appearance was amazing, if properly maintained.Sep 17, 2010

Amazing 25+ MPG with the fuel injected 2.3 liter. OK power with the 5 spd. Very few problems with this vehicle. Put over 20k miles on it in less then 2 years and only replaced a couple sensors, never left me stranded.Dec 28, 2009

Too slow, wish I had the 4.0L and a 5 speed. On the upside, I can go damn near anywhere. Bought it for next to nothing and haven't had to put too much into it. Running 31" BFG all Terrains.Nov 18, 2009

i fits me not to much and not to little.
the performance of my little danger ranger is okay could be better but for a 2.9 with bosch plugs and leds in the cab with limo tint makes me dream of wat i could have fun in.

We had put a 347 stroker motor in it after we blew the 4cylinder. Itd haul total ass and throw you back into the seat. We went thru probably 4 sets of tires in 3 months time. 4spd, 2wd. Awesome lil truckNov 03, 2009

this ranget has the 2.9L v-6 aluminum block with the 5 inch posi rear end 5 speed manual... i have not had a problem with this truck since the day i bought it. it will bark the tires at will and it gets about 25 mpg's ... for a 6 cylinder it kicks ass!Oct 08, 2009

Nice fun truck to drive around in. Good performance from the
V6 thanks to the 4.30 gears in the back. Decent on fuel, 21
mpg in the city. Long box can hold lots of stuff. 360,000 kms
and it runs good and strong.Aug 22, 2009

La Grange is a very unique vehicle. I bought her for 800 bucks in Flagstaff, Arizona figuring that she might last me through the winter. (assuming I got myself some snow tires.)
Well, she's still alive and well today. She has her problems, but she's old enough to smoke if you know what I mean.
I never got those snow tires, and she did fine in the snow. That little motor runs like a ...boring dream. Someone asked me if she runs good. I said, "Well, she runs...I don't know about the good part."
I think that summarizes how I feel about La Grange...but I wouldn't sell her...unless the price was right. Jul 09, 2009

2.9L, Manual, 2WD. Perfect car to learn to drive in... in CT. In the winter.
You learn to drive very quickly when there's no weight over the drive axle.
Sold to the stealership for $600 when my folks upgraded. I miss this truck. Red pinstripe, big towing mirrors, replaced heads, because they cracked instead of the headgaskets going.May 02, 2009

Old but trusty! I have used it to haul everything from airplane parts to crushed gravel and everything in between! It's a basic little no frills truck that I use just to get jobs done, or when gas prices rise! It gets over 300 miles to the tankfull thanks to it's manual trans and power NOTHING!Dec 29, 2008

The 4.0L OHV is one hell of an engine, nearly indestructible with plenty of power to spare. When I bought it, I could tell it had been driven hard and partially neglected. A can of restore and a cold air intake was more then enough to solve the problems. I've had this truck for a year now, and it has never let me down. Highway mileage is impressive, and it's decently quick. And there's no doubt when you get in, it feels like a truck should, and trust me when Mother Nature's fury comes bearing down on you, the four wheel drive with the Traction-Lok limited slip comes at Mother Nature like a spider monkey! A little sand in the back and it powers through ice and snow like a drive through the park. GOD I love this truck, and I have no plans on selling it. Ever.Nov 22, 2008

You just can not beat an old ford, its very reliable, gets decent gas millage, looks above average for its age( self painted). Its got the power to spin tires and has posi-track, causing great burnouts. Its definatly broken in, making it a very comfy and relaxing ride. Eats dodges for breakfast, lunch and dinner!Aug 13, 2008

I've had a good 10 years with this truck. Only let me down once and it was just the battery. I should rate it higher in performance because it actually handles and stops great for a truck, yet its lack of acceleration really is a deal breaker.May 06, 2008

It's a nice truck if you don't want to pay to much for gas, can't haul very much but it's still a truck and not a honda :)May 06, 2008

2.3L I-4 and 3.08 gears? What where they thinking? Upgrading to 4.10's. Installed a tach, Explorer power seats, (2) 8" subs powered by Sony 500w amp, 3" body lift (not me), 17" summer's, and more.Dec 28, 2007
