Cheap Thrills — I bought this car about 3 years ago for under $2,000 from the second owner. He got the car from his grandparents who had bought it new. I have it serviced by the same mechanic that worked on it for the prior owners with no major work needed. It is a kick to drive and to let others drive (when I am in the passenger seat of course). The combination of AWD, 5 speed manual trans., 4 wheel disc brakes, and turbo makes it one fun car with great acceleration and control. The 2.0 DOHC just wants to GO and I have to let it! Who can blame me? It sounds SO sweet running up to 5500 rpm through the gears. No modifications have been done. No racing, ever. Good gas mileage, no car payments, quick, fun, and my wife loves it. I've got 7 grandchildren ages 11 yrs. down to 1 mo. I plan to keep this car for them to enjoy too.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: I'm 62,  6'4" , 250 lbs., and I fit just fine in the driver's seat which amazes people.  It's an inexpensive, easy to maintain, sports car with plenty of power, that turns heads..

Cons: Exterior door handle.  Have broken two.  Paint on hood was blistered and needed repainting (within the first year my wife said or the car goes).

Not Bad But It Is Fwd. — first problem is it is fwd. the trans is great, no grinds. The car is has adjustable coil overs which make it look good but makes for a very rough ride. this car is mostly stock so its not very quick but still fun to drive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: can be made quick easily and cheap.

Cons: rough ride

Cheap Pocket Rocket Of A Car! — Bought this car for cheap from a dealership that was going to send it to auction. While the black talon (1993) was down, this got all of my reasonable parts. Modifying it cost me $0. I actually ended up selling it for a profit and having fun!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Solid 13 second car with bolt-ons

Cons: Its a DSM, don't expect reliability

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Love It — I love my DSM. This thing flys! It could have been built stronger, but thats what moog and trw are for-chasis parts-other than ball joints being not o god out of the factory this car is definately a favoite of mine. I had a 95 but it wasnt an awd 5 speed, either way this car is amazing in all areas

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: power on demand, awd

Cons: chasis parts could be tougher

Awsome — its turbo, all wheel drive. and the motor czn take alot of abuse. the motor is a very good platform to build from. dsm's may be a little bit of a hassle to work on but when everything is dialed in correctly the car moves

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fun

Cons: its a dsm

If You Know What They Can Do... Get One! — TURBO... FIVE SPEED... ALL WHEEL DRIVE... the car will turn on a dime.. great for winter.. all the performance you'd want out of a 2 liter engine with a turbo.. great get up and go and it's nice to know that stock i can smoke any honda and a lot of v8's

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: FUN!

Cons: if your not mechanically inclined and can tune it

Fun When It Runs — Great handling car. Extremely fun and fast. Great grip with AWD technology. Fully built motor internally and bolt-ons. Runs E-85 fuel. Cheap gas but suffers from mpg. Old school look but still clean. One of the best motors made.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: AWD

Cons: Maintence

If You Can Find One, Hang On To It — This car is about brute force...Before there was an EVO there was this...nuff sed. Not too many left out there because off heavy footed posers tryin to push the limit. most crushed and smashed in the junkyards. Thats ok, more spare parts for me...lol

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Scarin the competition

Cons: Your on a budget

I Love My Honda Killer — I hate how touchy these cars are. So much fun to drive especially with just a few mods. You can take a 14 sec. stock car to a 12 or 11 sec car with just a few tweeks. AWD is the best

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fun as hell to drive

Cons: money pit
