Get The Car If You Have An Eye For Restoration And Cherry. — " My 1985 Honda Civic was a Car Of Cars !, The Silver exterior, with Grey Velor interior was one of the nicest 4 door Honda's I had been in in 1993. I had several friends who owned Honda Preludes, And Accords, The Car's performance was not realized until I had The motor tuned, and such, but that was the beginning of a n ongoing assault Of my wits. The car lived At Plaza Honda In Brooklyn N.Y. The service Dept personell all knew me by name. It had to be taken back 27 times!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Compact, Not hard to park, fits in small spaces, good on GAS

Cons: repairs are costly

E-at Civic Si — Sweet Twin Cam PGM-Fi engine. Goes well, great on gas, plenty of fun to drive. Manual. Undergoing restoration/touch up's shortly! Rocking genuine Mugen 2 piece MR5 forged rims. One of the tidiest ones I have seen around. NOT for sale by the way, had plenty of offers for it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Cheap, rare

Cons: Needs better suspension in the front!

Good Car — good acceleration.. good handling.. easy to drive.. old model.. oil consumption reasonable.. economic.. good design.. the front is like the hatchback and toyota AE86.. not so common to come across one in the road.. next time you see one.. do respect :0)

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: awesome acceleration

Cons: a bit nerdy in curves

Great Run About. — Great car, low emissions, great economy, we love this thing, even though it is manual, and it can be a bit of a beast on the turns, otherwise, it is adorable, fun, and economical, plus it hauls plenty of groceries or what ever.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great gas economy, ecologically sound, even more than many new cars.

Cons: A bit on the low end on the details, but easy to overcome.

1985 Honda Civic Dx — good fuel economy, cheap everything car, but looks like poop. ride is decenly smooth with recent shocks, but does not handle that great otherwise. the car has approximately 76 horsepower and it doesn't really feall that slow, since the gearing is okay for the low power amounts. overall, not too bad of a car.

Pros: cheap

Cons: carburated

I Love This Ride — i drive Fire Trucks for a living, and i wouldent drive anything else other then a 1985 Honda Civic CRX SI Hatchback while i am not on the job. It get me to work in a hurry when i need it, i get about 40 to 45 MPG, and with gas these days that adds up compared to everyone else in my company where there lucky to get 20 MPG. i have no extras on the exterior, i think the car is sexy just the way it is.

Owner for 22 years, 3 months

Miles Driven per Year:13,000

Pros: great on gas, handles really well in high speed situations

Cons: light wieght, cannot go top speed in the rain.

Donated — This was car was dope! I drove it back and forth to Chicago twice! I pad $500 for it and didn't have to do a thing to it until it finally blew a gasket and busted a lifter.

Pros: 5spd

Cons: Brown

A Great Fun Car To Drive - Good For A First Car Or Paddock Basher — This was my first car when I went to Uni. It had been in an accident previously, so had the newer (more powerful) engine dropped into the older lighter body - hence it went pretty fast! (Well, for an 80's civic, anyway). A very fun car to drive - feels like you're racing all the time. Also very forgiving. But with all old cars it was starting to get a bit tired and needing ongoing maintenance.

Pros: Quick, easy to handle, great to park, fun to drive.

Cons: Butt ugly, looks like a grandma car, getting a bit old.

Pros: reliable

Cons: not solid ... but ... japanese car at that time ... couldn't expect too much
