1985 Ford Ranger — I bought this truck a year ago for $1300 dollars, and have invested about $1000 more into it with a new clutch, new brake master cylinder and new power brakes. She's held up real well, although I did have a problem with vacuum leaks early on. Overall she's been real good to me and I love her a lot. Has a 2.8L V6 engine, and 4 Speed with overdrive manual transmission.

Pros: Looks awesome, powerful engine.

Cons: Mileage.

Rangers` Never Die! — I have an `85 2wd w/the2.0L motor 5 speed tranny with more problems than i can count. Tranny syncros in the tranny are bad,the moter knocks bad, carb is a lost mirical, exaust has more holes and problems than i`ve ever seen and the body work, I still ain`t found a flat surface yet! I bought her a year ago for 300.00 cash. the stick shifter was in the floor board on the passanger side. She had 3 different size tires but I fixed her up with another 400.00 the following week the best I could. Right now I have driven around Reno, Nv. for 3 mos. and went to Moscow, Pa. for 7 mos and am on my way back to Reno in 2 weeks. She is still strong and as reliable as the day i bought her, already 15 years old!!!!!

Owner for 1 years, 0 months

Miles Driven per Year:20,000

Pros: all

Cons: small cab space.

Great, but in under 5 years new.... Rust at bottom of doors. Either bad seals, drainage, or paint/clear coat. Standard transmission hauls less cargo than the automatic version. Read More
