Sold — I bought this car and it was barely running. It needed a paintjob and a whole lot of elbow grease. The engine is a twinport 1600, it was overhauled and new gearbox mountings were fitted. I bought this car for using it offroad. And I must say it really did a great job!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Off-road capability

Cons: Ride noise.

The Best Vehicle. — The looks are what I love the most! The build quality is german in every sense. The engine only puts out about 40hp but this car isn't meant for speed it was made for the love of the drive. Beutiful!

Pros: The conversations it creates.

Cons: The amount of money I'm spending on it!

Go For It! — Performance - Pretty poor with slow acceleration and speed of 125 km/h however unbeatable tracking to go on sand and snow for a 2 wheel drive. Build Quality - Robust chassis and undestroyable engine. Noisy brakes. Appearance - Awesome exterior in beautiful red. Characteristic interior. Cost of ownership. Low as spare parts were all used. Mileage average. Fun Factor. 100 out of 100. Truly super fun to spin rear wheels, to go off road jumping on the beak dunes.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Awesome exterior and fun to drive. A classic forerever!

Cons: Braking.

Vw Bettle Convertible — Another convertible I owned. A very nice classic car even tho it's slow, no a/c and 4 gears transmission. I still enjoy very much driving this convertible bug. Beetle is very easy to fix and cheap on cost. I wish I can own another beetle convertible someday.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Stylish

Cons: power, transmission

I Like The Sound It Makes. — This little beast will get you from point A to point B. It will do it very slowly, but you will never have more fun. This car will break down a lot, and you will love it for it. If you've ever driven or owned one, you can't possibly argue with that.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Probably the sound it makes.

Cons: Don't buy it if you don't like the sound it makes.

Beautiful Bug — Fond memories of; always being cold in winter, with the Bug never warming til the last 2 minutes of any journey; dancing on the pedals and using the hand brake to ensure it didn''t stall on cold mornings; always started, didn't always keep going but always started; on wet days when turning left, you'd wait 10 seconds and sure enough a drip would hit your neck from the 'factory'fitted sunroof; preying for a downhil and wind behind you; an altogether swiss cheese of a car, but i loved her dearly.

Pros: smitten-appeal, affordable

Cons: ignoring lousy performance, nothing!

Das Auto! — The beetle is a pretty good car all around,it could use things like a/c,and a heater that doesn't suck the hot air off the exhaust manifold...Does really well on bad roads, really fantastic on snow and ice. Vw's are pretty sturdy, and rarely have big issues...but when they do have something major...be prepaired for a project that will take days... The engine is really good,on gas if properly tuned...I get 34mpg,its not very fast top speed is about 83mph,has superb handling very light and tight. Very sturdy suspension. and VERY VERY FUN to drive/own lots of thumbs up and peace signs.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Fun,quirky,sturdy,and effecient

Cons: can have floor and electrical issues,if not restored
