Mercedes-Benz S430 History
Part of the Mercedes S-Class, the S430 has been produced continuously since 2000 and has been a favorite among Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts, particularly in the United States.
The S430 is built on Mercedes-Benz's W220 platform and replaced the S420, which was sold between the 1994 and 1999 model years. The W220 platform was launched in late 1998 to overhaul several cars in the German company's flagship S-Class lineup.
The S430 has been available with a V8 engine that delivers in the neighborhood of 275 horsepower, depending on the model year. The car was first launched in the spring of 1999 as an early 2000 model.
