ProsStyling, features, safety Consdetachment from reality, waste of gas

S55 Amg — This car is absolutely breathtaking. Acceleration is lightning fast, and almost too comfortable. The handling in sport mode feels just how a sports sedan should- nimble and tight. The brakes are probably the most impressive performance attribute, they stop quicker than you should ever have to. The car is built very solid; I was rear ended by a camry going 25 mph and the bumper was only bent. The car completely absorbed the shock of the crash. The sleek lines of the amg styling are gorgeous and get looks all over town. The cars two downfalls are gas milage (about 12 mpg, 10 for spirited drivers), and the smoothness. You may ask how could smoothness be a downfall? Well, during times of rapid acceleration, you gain too great a confidence from the ride and lose your sense of speed, which is kind of scary. Bottom line, this car is a hoot.

ProsFAST! Comfortable and Safe ConsNot cheap to keep!

W220 S600 Designo V12 Biturbo — Fast (check), Luxurious (check), Safe (check) High quality (check), Exclusive (check). It is hard to find any other sedan available in the US that can rival this car, in fact it hard to find ANY car in the US that rivals this car overall. I have the Coupe version as well and prefer the Sedan for its higher comfort factor over any marginal gains the lighter, shorter coupe version might provide. Unfortunately, this car wasn't cheap to purchase, and maintenance costs are not inexpensive if kept by the book as I do, but nobody should be surprised about this, at the end of the day its a trade-off I am willing to accept. Mercedes-benz 2004 S500 Sedan — One of the best rides and built cars I have ever owned. The ride is so smooth and comforatable that many times you do not know how fast you are going until you look at speedometer. There is a sport setting and comfort setting. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosall in this car is jist...great Consthere isn't

The Perfect Car — The engine is great - 320 CDI have 210 h.p. (on paper this is insufficiently for this heavy car, but in real is more than enought) 0-100km/h for 7.4sec (but don't forget - this is not sports car, this is limousine ;)) The breaks are just perfect The exterior is stylish and when you go inside you can say "welcome home" - the luxury is everywhere, cosily and comfortably. This is the perfect car - but it is property of my father and i drive it just sometimes :| Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Best Car Ever Made Hands Down — Absolute best car ever made. It accelerates like no other even though it weighs over 6,000 pounds. Brakes are a strong as then can be and it handles better any my uncles Maserati. Build Quality wise I have never had a single issues, ever except for the ABC suspension which died because of a personal issue. Appearance wise nothing can come even close because I have the AMG package. Cost of ownership is high, its an S-Class you have to have money to have one. Fun factor, nothing is more fun. There Are Two Type Of Cars In The World...there's Mercedes And There's Everything Else — This bad boy sedan looks great, rides nice and performs extremely well considering its weight. This particular model has the AMG package, which features 18 inch wheels and sportier bumpers and side skirts. Headlights and taillights were upgraded in the '03 and up models. The motor is a 302 hp 5 liter V8 coupled to a 7-speed automatic (the first in the world at the time). Brakes are cross-drilled 4 piston calipers up front and stop on a dime. It features an airbag suspension which can be raised a few inches at the touch of a button. Also, there are 3 settings which can be chosen, Comfort and two stiffer ones. There are enogh features to keep everyone entertained. The Bose surround sound is simply amazing, it is extremely clear and the bass hits hard. There is a screen in the center which features a navigation system, 6 cd changer with mp3 capabilities, satellite radio and bluetooth. The doors and trunk have the soft close option, they fully shut themselves. Also, there is a sunshade in the back which can go up and down by the touch of a button. Dual climate control, sunroof, automatic folding mirrors and rain sensitive wipers are some other features found on this car. Gas mileage is great on the highway, I averaged 29.5 mpg on a recent 624 mile trip cruising at 74 mph with the occasional 130 mph leg stretch. In the city is a different story though...Brake pads wear out rather quickly and oil changes are costly ($120). |
