Well.... It Could Be Better — Design Looks like a Mercedes from a mile. Doesn't look like anything else on the streets. Performance The 3.5L v6 engine makes this cars move pretty fast. It would move better with a 5.0 V8. I also believe that the breaks installed are not strong enough. It could be better and safer if Mercedes had installed -at least- the 4 pot Brembo-made callipers. Handling is AMAZING, if you make a minor mistake, the car will correct it. If the mistake is more serious, the PRE-SAFE system will make sure your body is in the best position for the up-coming crash. It will change the settings of your sit, the distance between your sit and the steering wheel, prepare the safety belts and after the crash it will unlock doors and turn on the alarm light. Please don't try to go fast on a narrow mountain road... You'll most likely get killed. Build quality. Looks and feels stiff and German made. Once you are over the shock caused of quality and luxuries inside this car, then you see that they used the same quality plastic parts, Mercedes uses in cheaper models. And you just know that after couple of years you will hear them on each and every bump. Extras The list of extras is of the same size with a phone book. You can order anything! Night-view assistance, orthopaedic front seats, rear-seat entertainment system, massage seats, climate-controlled seats.... ETC If you can afford them... get them all!!! This car is made for long trips. It will take you anywhere and make sure you get there safe, in luxury and effortless.

2006 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S430 4MATIC 4dr Sedan AWD Review
ProsThis is the ultimate luxury ride, there is no other like the S class Mercedes. ConsYou cannot park just anywhere, you need to be aware of where you park the car because of people hitting the door and such.

Clean Well Kept And Low Miles — The ride is so smooth it cannot compare to any other vehicle I have driven, you can go 80 and you feel as if your going 40 nothing shakes or rattles its a very safe smooth riding vehicle and in the snow and ice its good too the 4 wheel drive really helps Primary Use: Commuting to work

Hot S600 — okay so i love it but you try driving a car that gets 8 in the city and 10 on the highway, I get worse gas milage then a Tank used in the middle east! So I am going more practical, you know for better gas miles, maybe a hummer? lol Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I Would Buy It Again. — I love my 2006 S-430. It has the power I want and I am not disturbed about the sometimes not so smooth shifting. It rides smoothly and quitely. My S-430 came with the AMG Package, which is a plus to me. I had dash board electrical failure. It was replaced under extended warrenty. The CD Player went out. It couldn't be fixed. So the radio had to be replaced. Out of warrenty MB chipped in the replacement($4,500.00)radio.I paid ($900.00). Otherwise,it has been a great car. Primary Use: Family transportation

One Great S430 4matic — I have recently got this car for myself as a christmas gift. I wanted to get a BMW or a Mercedes Benz E350 but the cost was about the same in all of them. The S430 offered me the 4matic and also it was much more room inside the car compared to the other two sedans. In my best words, this car is a very good car, the best i ever had.

Toys For Boys — Garish and over-the-top in so many ways, but probably with the features we’ll find normal in 10 years’ time. Massaging seats the main party trick, but infra-red camera for front helps turn night into day on interior LCD TV, which changes back into a very clear speedometer in other circumstances. Double glazing, telescopic doors that open to any angle. Big car, and it feels it. Certainly not perfect as it’s not satisfying as a driver’s car, but there are too many toys up front that you wouldn’t want a chauffeur to enjoy them all. |
