ProsPower Power Power, handling, comfort, options, quality. ConsCost of ownership, terrible in the winter, handling while accelerating, gas-mileage.

2005 Mercedes-benz S600 Amg Package — First and foremost, V12 5.5L Bi-Turbo. 0 to 60 faster than you can scratch your back. Rides like a luxury Mercedes with all the options you can think of. From heated/cooled/massage all seats to auto-leveling and one-touch start. Braking, handling and fun is also promised with this car. However, all this puts a lot of load on your bank account. Cost of maintenance is extremely high. The smallest parts (such as a washer level sensor) could cost you hundreds of dollars. Also, wouldn't recommend this if you're big on the whole nature thing. Gives about 8 mpg. Appearance is fairly good with the standard package and gorgeous with the AMG package (as it adds 19" Benz wheels and AMG body kit) Overall this car has it all: Power, looks, luxury and reliability. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsRides like a dream. Incredible milage range. I can drive from New Orleans to San Antonio without stopping for gas. ConsSlightly underpowered for me, but I like to be pinned back in my seat when I'm entering interstate traffic. Burns premium gas.

Even At 3 Years Old, It Still Rules. — I bought a certified pre-owned 2005 S430 from someone returning it from a 3 year lease and it is still the nicest car I have ever owned. The last 4 cars I've owned were all new ... Lincoln LS, 2 Avalons, and an Infinity FX35, and this 3 year old car blows them all away. My father-in-law would allways insist on travelling in his Town Car until he rode in the 'Cedes. Now we take my car everywhere and instead of insisting on riding up front for leg room, he insists on riding in the back seat. I sneak it up to 80 or 90, and they never know.

ProsAwesome ride, it's my little metal shell :) ConsI wouldn't mind having S55, but then I'd regret that on the petrol station

This Car Rides As Smooth As Nothing Else On This Planet... Top Comfort! — Great looks, excelent engine and mileage (CDI version), it feels like it rides on smooth silk not tarmac - Airmatic suspension does it's job briliantly :) Takes half a day to familiarise yourself with all the gadgets. 15 hour trip over europe? No problems, when you get out, you'll feel like that you just went to the shop. Loving it!

Best Of Its Type---maybe Bentley Is Better. — This is the best car I have owned in 59 years of driving If the ride is going to be 4 or more hours the only car I have driven that equals it was a Infinity M(?) I have driven only German cars since 1982 Primary Use: Family transportation

Too Many Problems With It, Fix One Thing And Something Else Goes Wrong With It. — good car happy to have, looks as great as it drives, when it is not in the shop taking all our income to pay for, its would be fun to drive, if we could ever depend on it to get us from A to B. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Flagship Mercedes — Great car, what do you expect - The Flagship Mercedes. I love the cooled seats and the keyless go system. What is missing: Bluetooth integration, a integrated radar warner and an auto pilot (just kidding). Overall the best DB I had so far, Primary Use: Commuting to work

Super Sedan — Stunning. From the sewn dashboard to the electric rear seats with air conditioning and heating. Seats that compensate for corners (they guy you when you turn corners) and keyless go to make entry and exit easy. Not to mention that super refined 368kW.... |
