Mercedes-Benz S420 Overview

Mercedes-Benz produced the S420 as a mid-range vehicle in its famous S-Class between the 1994 and 1999 model years. The car had a 4.2 liter V8 engine produced 275 horsepower.

The S420 marked the break between smaller engines and smaller chassis in the S-Class lineup and resembled the more expensive S500 and S600.

In the 2000 model year, the S420 was replaced by the S430 and its 4.3 liter engine in the Mercedes lineup.
