Have you ever done a timing set on a vehicle before?? I can tell you this much. if you aren’t already familiar with Engine mechanics and are following directions from a Haynes or chiltons Manuel. They typically always explain the timing setting backwards, as in, if you follow their procedures your timing will always be 180° off. If your just running an old school tbi then that that’s what it sounds like. Either that or you missed TDC by a tooth or two and will need to reset it. You can always try moving your plug wires around on the distributor to sometimes to put you closer to where your firing order is too.
