How high can I lift my 2016 jeep patriot?

Question type: Car Customization

I already confirmed a 2-1/8" lift kit exists for the patriot. Kit by rocky road outfitters. Any info on this kit? I read some bad/mixed reviews. If I get it lifted, what are the biggest tires I can fit on there? My goal is to get it as high as possible for a patriot. I understand lifting isn't a big thing for patriots, but I'm just wanting to try. If, for some reason, I can't get it lifted, what are the biggest tires I can fit that would give me a little boost?

The sky's the limit baby! You're gonna need a ladder!

2 1/8 Is the limit. And the reviews are bad. I have installed a few of these kits. And I am no longer doing them. The rear control arms do help correct the alignment. But not all the way. The front ball joints take a beating due to the angle they run at when the control arm angle is changed. The Camber bolts supplied with the kit don't always allow for enough adjustment to correct camber. As for tires a 245/65 17 is about the biggest tire that will fit. That gives you about an extra 3/4 inch of overall lift. For the money and effort I dont think you will be satisfied with the results.

If that wasn't enough. I forgot to mention, The guy who puts these kits together at Rocky road. Is sometimes out of parts or otherwise very, very slow shipping kits.

Hi guys, I've got the 21/8 lift on my 2009 Patriot and also 245/65/r17. Had to install problem solvers on front so the cam could be adjusted properly. It does sit up higher than most that I have seen but handles horribly on the road. Spent a good amount of $ for really nothing. It just made it a horrible ride. Save your money!!

I had the same problem with crappy ride quality over all. It ended up being my rear end. i had to go to two different off road shops to get the alignment correct on my 15’ i2.4 sport Patriot. The first shop I went to was lazy, they installed the kit and then alligned it. They claimed to have had “trouble alligning the rear” and didn’t even offer me the allignment specs. As driven over time it felt like The rear was off. I looked at both sides with a ruler and the left wheel was way further out compared to the passenger rear. so I installed moog adjustable toe links on the drivers side to correct the allignment and bring that wheel in more. Installin this part made it more adjustable than the stock toe link and camber bolts supplied. The second shop really aligned it well, but they had to fiddle with the rear control arms that RRO supplies. If you get an allignment done at any place, make sure they give you a copy of the allignment specs after. Also you should choose a good respresentable shop that specifically handles lifted/custom problems. Otherwise you don’t know what you’re driving.
