How come on my 2008 vw rabbit where it shows the milage, an error sign flashes for like 2min right when I tern on my car then stops and shows my original miles. What does this mean?

commonaly the light has a symble or will tell you directly. It is probly telling you your car is due for an oil change because it is to old or sludgy to run your engine right.
