i cant get my starter to crank,any ideas??

my one hot wire that goes directly goes into the car caught fire and I guess shorted out something.i replaced the starter and fusible link to the starter.i have power to everything else but the starter and my trunk release.grounds and all look fine.i am lost!!!!!!!!I tested all the links I could find,could it be internal?..thanks

Maybe shorted your igntion switch.
