Should I keep my 2001 Audi A6 Quattro 4.2?

Asked by Lora Nov 20, 2014 at 06:04 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased my car in 2005 with 37k
miles for $27k from Car Max. I
dropped in an engine with 46k miles
in 2006 (it had 58k miles at this point)
because a head gasket blew. I've
since replaced the timing belt,
alternator, battery, brakes & pads,
and have regular oil changes. It
drives great. It has cosmetic scrapes
and dings and needs paint touch
ups. At it's age, is it worth fixing up
and keeping it?

yep what he said. If its anything like my old 98 all you do is put money into it. and at this stage in that cars life it most likely will need all new control arms and a full kit can run up to 3000 easy.
