I have 2008 Jetta, The sunroof stopped working, The power locks work.any suggestions.

Hi, My sister got a 2008 VW Jetta, The sunroof stopped working, the power door locks
and trunk release work.I have checked the fuse, it looks good. any suggestions.

my best guess would be the motor dried out and is now dead. Its the ussal cause for window and sunroof motors. If you push the switch to open it and you hear a little loise like it wants to move but dosn't and the noise just goes away a few seconds after that its a dead motor. if you just simply hear no noise at all its most likely to be a bad switch. Its not uncomman for switchs to dry out as well and then go bad since they put greese in them to keep them from freezing up.
