With capacity for up to 12 passengers and as many as 324 potential seating configurations, the 2021 Nissan NV Passenger Van is more than up to the task of moving people around with ease. The NV is available with plenty of features and creature comforts for many different passenger-van fleet needs.
The NV comes standard with a 4.0-liter V6 making 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. It routes power to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission and is capable of towing up to 6,200 pounds, according to Nissan.
The NV is also available with a 5.6-liter V8 that puts out 375 hp and 387 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the V8 NV Passenger Van can tow up to 8,700 pounds. More than just stout engines, the NV Passenger Van comes equipped with Vehicle Dynamics Control, Traction Control, and large brakes (14.2-inch front, 14.4-inch rear).
The NV is available in S, SV, and SL trims. Standard equipment on the S includes 17-inch steel wheels, one-touch power windows, water-repellant upholstery, four-way manually adjustable front seats, a 7-inch touchscreen that operates an AM/FM stereo with four speakers. The S also includes cruise control, backup camera, auxiliary input jack, USB port, and Bluetooth streaming audio and calling capability.
Moving up to the SV adds backup sensors, 17-inch chrome-clad wheels, power side mirrors, three 12-volt power outlets (up from one), two 120-volt wall-style power outlets, eight cupholders (up from six), carpeted flooring, and a lockable front center console with integrated clipboard holder. The SV also adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, voice recognition, and navigation.
The range-topping SL trim includes features such as front parking sensors, fog lights, front tow hooks, a Class-IV trailer hitch with pre-wiring, and power-heated chrome side mirrors that can extend manually for a better view of what you’re towing. The SL also adds dual-zone front climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The 2021 Nissan NV Passenger Van has a starting price of $36,860. The SV trim starts at $39,310, and the range-topping SL trim starts at $43,610. According to Nissan, 2021 will be the last model year for the NV, but it will continue to provide fleet support for the van through its “Business Advantage” program.
