The Audi S4 continues to be a sharp, comfortable, and refined performance sedan with technology to match its driving dynamics, competing with the likes of the BMW M340i and Mercedes-AMG C 43. The sixth-generation 2019 model carries over from a 2017 redesign.
A turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, making 349 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, powers all trims of the S4. It pairs with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The S4 can go from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 155 mph. Fuel economy for the 2019 Audi S4 is 21 mpg city, 30 highway, 24 combined, and the S4 requires premium fuel.
Three trims are available: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. The Premium gets standard 18-inch wheels along with aggressive quad-tipped exhaust outlets. Other standard features include automatic LED headlights, power-adjustable heated side mirrors with memory settings, Audi Drive Select, and heated windshield-washer nozzles. Inside, a standard flat-bottomed steering wheel, leather/Alcantara upholstery, 3-zone climate control, heated front seats, push-button start, and a power sunroof come standard. For tech, Audi’s Multi-Media Interface (MMI) comes standard with a 7-inch color display, Bluetooth connectivity, dual USB ports, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
The Premium Plus adds keyless start, navigation, and the Audi Virtual Cockpit, which swaps out the conventional gauges for a fully digital instrument panel.
The Prestige rounds out the lineup, with a head-up display (HUD), a Bang & Olufsen sound system, an 8.3-inch screen, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control that can stop and go with traffic, and lane-keeping assist.
Standard safety features include front and side airbags, traction control, a tire-pressure-monitoring system, and a reversing camera. The S4 also comes with a host of driver-assist features, including forward-collision warning, forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.
The S4 delivers brisk acceleration and the latest tech features.
