2018 Jeep Wrangler Reviews, Pricing & Specs

The CarGurus verdict
The rough and tumble Jeep gets a thorough reboot, yet it remains entirely the same.
No new car feels so comfortably worn as the Jeep Wrangler, and arguably none has a more fanatical and fiercely loyal group of followers than this 77-year-old American brand. The Wrangler is a sun-loving, rock-hopping, mud-caked happy face on four wheels, which after 10 years—twice as long as most automakers allow a vehicle’s design to remain unchanged—is finally all-new for 2018. While the solid-axle, body-on-frame Wrangler Unlimited has no direct competitors aside from the Toyota 4Runner, the latest model’s performance, practicality, and technology is thoroughly improved. We drove the two-door 2018 JL Wrangler in a separate test. This review focuses on the Unlimited, the four-door version that Jeep first introduced for 2007.

What owners say
"Overall, Jeep Wrangler owners are thrilled with their 2018 models, citing the vehicle's pep, handling, and iconic design as major highlights. Many appreciate the drivability improvements and features like remote start. However, some drivers wish for more modern amenities such as power windows, heated seats, and updated sound systems, while a few noted concerns about comfort compared to previous models, particularly with cabin smells and pricing."
Good value, manual transmission, low miles and a good price.
June 1, 2026It offers a lot of bang for the buck! Great capabilities for a person needing a four wheel drive vehicle.
June 25, 2025The Jeep is great as they always are but I notice that since FMC and Stellantis took over, the build quality has gone down and the maintenance and repair cost rose. This is not my first jeep and that's where I get my opinions

July 15, 2025So far, I am truly loving the car that I purchased. I love that it already had a lift on it as well as the mud tires. The overall car itself is beautiful
November 11, 2024This vehicle has a lot of hidden fees, please do your research before buying.
October 7, 2025It has 4-wheel drive high and low for varying weather conditions. Tops come off for summer driving and it has a roll over bar that covers the front riders.
December 1, 2024It was almost exactly what I was looking for, one thing TONKA on the sides. To much for me lol
October 13, 2026Underside was completely covered in oil, 3 different shades of orange, in side smelled of wet dog, arm rest was broken. Worth half of what they were asking
March 5, 2025Wranglers hold their value. They have dramatically improved safety ratings and are fun to drive.
March 4, 2023The car is great ! I get a lot of compliments. The problem is that the doors and windows are not motorized. Old school.
